I think the word you're looking for is similar. The word identical means "exactly the same". No ifs or buts.

And for sure the Panamera's interior and the Cayenne 2's interior are far from identical:

Quite different really.
I just looooove that interior, layout and design. Just can imagine myself the feeling behind the wheel!:t-drive:

Looks stunning, much better than I expected!

The only possible letdown is the backside now.

Also, they changed the picture on their official site back to a Cayenne 1 GTS. I was looking the whole time and thought the new one was new identical to the old one for a sec :bonk:

yup, they've changed it back like 10 minutes after i posted it in here:)

I don't think it looks good; ricey with those wheels, predictable, and heavy. Also a bit shapeless, with no real design effort I think.

It is not really good-looking, even if not half as bad as the current pig.

To me it looks like Alfa romeo of SUVs.

Raoul admit it bro, you love it but you are too stubrn to confess :D

Well the interior is very nice. The exterior however... Sure, way better than the gen1, but that wasn't too hard wasn't it? I like the lower to the ground appearance, the whole is sure tidier and less looking like a blob. I like that the wheelarchs are not looking like they were built to house 50" wheels (that was utterly ridiculous).

However, i fail to see what you're all raving about. The Touareg II looks better to my eyes. The Cayenne is still no beauty for me.

I will moderate this one if I may?...:D

CoolRaoul has very good points about the styling in general. I do agree that the previous Cayenne (pre-FL) looked like a frog - FL I liked very much though the interior was to VW-ish and had no real style, the best dash EVER was the E53 X5 - bar none! Now the tables has turned - forthcoming Cayenne has a stunning interior design, best in class!:t-cheers:

Sayyaaf, I have to agree that the new Cayenne looks the part and though it has character from the current range, it looks totally fresh, very sporty and attractive. The lower stance and sleek sheet metal puts it millions of miles ahead of the current generation - simply put, it is gorgeous.:t-cheers:

The new Touareg has some Cayenne styling, though it's not nearly sporty or elegant nor rakish enough to be mentioned in either the Cayenne, X5/X6 league! :eusa_naug
