X5 New X5 spy pictures and video

The BMW X5 is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW. The X5 made its debut in 1999 as the E53 model. It was BMW's first SUV. BMW marketed the X5 officially as a "Sports Activity Vehicle" (SAV), rather than an SUV, to indicate its on-road handling capability despite its large dimensions.

I saw these pics. Looks to be about the size of a Range Rover. I love!

Looks good in the video. Are those wheel arches? (M-Class anyone? :eusa_doh: )

Good to see that they are keeping the same proportions and overall shape...

Indeed. It was a very original shape to being w/, and I'm glad that they have chosen to refine the shape rather than to scrap it and create something all together different.

This car will no doubt firmly re-establish itself as the class benchmark. The current car is in no way shamed in the face of stiff NEW competition, and it can still show most all of them a thing or two about just how car like an SUV can be. I can't wait till its debut. MB will no doubt be hard at work fine tuning the M-class facelift for the X5's onslought.

You can't really tell much from these spy pics, but in that video it seems pretty good!

I'm sure it will be back on top!

does not look good at all:(

If your talking about the impression I agree. It`s not an improvement over the currand model if it`s going look like that. I was expecting something groundbreaking and dynamic. I won`t pass judgement as of yet.

I really want from that car to be brillantly made like old BMWs, cause quality of Bangalised Bimmers is down while Audi quality is up.

BMW have learnt the lesson: the facelifts and upcoming MY upgrades will feature upgrade of some iffy interior materials.

But if you check the real cars: the quality of Audi and BMW interiors are very close, not light year away (1er is a bit iffy).

The only problem is perception: people percieve shiny, glossy, metal knobs & buttons as "high quality", while black ones are percieved as "cheep".

Also the design is a factor: BMW interiors being more avantgarde, dynamic & angular - with complex lines, while Audi interiors are more classic & rounded - with more simply flowing lines. People percieve harmonic shapes as more up-scale. Pity.

I know that design has a big role in Peopole's perception but the fact is that i know very well interiors of new bimmers and Audis, and let me tell you that A6 & A8 are better than 5&7 Series, specialy for the materials.
