Stuff you have never even heard about, but that really has nothing to do with the fact that I think the S is ugly :)

But yeah it's off topic talk. Looks like the majority of voters here prefers the C coupe over the 3er coupe, so congrats with the win MB!!

I believe that must be some strong stuff to even put ugly and S-class in the same sentence.

As far as MB winning this poll, I would have preferred the A5 win.

The S-class is a timeless design that's sales numbers prove just how popular it is. Don't mind Klier, he's doing what only he can do best. :D

This forum has too few Audi fans for an Audi to win this or any comparison, but it does show how many BMW admirers there is when the oldest and least desirable looking out of the three can still hold it's own. :t-crazy2:

I dont like S-class either unless it equipped with AMG package. So I kinda support Klier on this ;)

I think that the competition is:

3 series coupe vs e class coupe
1 series coupe vs c class coupe

Hey Sergio, welcome...

No, I don't think it's like that; C-Class coupé vs. 3er coupé - no question. What needs to be asked is what competes then with the E-Class Coupé?

I assumed A5, but IDK, lol. It seems the C-Coupe being basically an E-Coupe without some gimmicks, is really fuzzing things up.

Also the 3er coupe and A5.

But E coupe is one of the biggest failures MB has ever seen, so.....

C coupe >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> E coupe

I must say that I find the E92 3-series coupe simply magic. It's a car that just doesn't seem to age at all (as opposed to the E90 sedan). Very svelte, very clean, more sporting than luxurious. Stellar with the Performance Package.

As nice as the A5 is, it has lost much of its' appeal to me over the course of the past year or so. Many simply adore that curvacious shoulder line. In my eyes, it has served the car poorly in the long term making it date rather quickly. Unusual for Audi.

The new C-Class coupe is very impressive, methinks. I much prefer it to the pseudo E-Class coupe.

Yes. The E92/E93 LCI Headlights look much worse than pre-facelift...

Agreed. The LED angel eyes sort of make it ok in the night (looks hot in the dark), but the overall shape is a big step down from the pre facelift.

Also the new grille. Looks much worse than the pre LCI.

The next 3er Coupe retains it's individual appearance , especially it's dynamic roof line but inherits some of the 6er,s style and muscular appearance. The front and rear are individual from the sedan again , because the E92 3er Coupe is the best selling 3er Coupe yet.

Given it's importance to the Premium Entry Segment , this is why BMW have made it more Premium looking as customers especially for the best selling 320d Coupe (E92) option their cars to the level of luxury Coupes costing two or three times as much.

I have always thought C-Klasse Coupe was a 1er rival as was the CLC intended... Where does that leave the E-Klasse because it is not a 6er rival?

I agree about the shoulder line. I'm not a fan of wavy, or squiggly lines, as I prefer hard, sharp, and/or crisp/straight lines (regardless of whether speaking about a curvy, or angular design). I'm a big fan of clean and symmetrical looks.

The wavy A5 line has made it kind of tiresome, and dated to me as well, as my eyes just started seeing it as sloppy and tired.

Idk, this isn't a very desirable group to me at this time personally, so I guess it's hard for me to pick. The C-Coupe I have to see IRL still. The next gen 3, should be the clear winner, until the next A5 and/or C Coupe show up at least, maybe.

You're going to loose credibility here on this forum if you honestly think the C coupe is a 1er coupe rival.

Seriously, the C coupe even comes in a wild C63 AMG version, making every engine in the 3er coupe look small. Surely a bell must ring then????

A class and B class are, despite being totally different cars, 1 series rivals.
CLC is an oddity from a past era and shouldn't be taken seriously, and every C class and E class coupe/cabrio is a 3er rival. Just not the E500 cabrio/coupe because it comes with a non AMG V8. That's the only thing that sets it apart from 3er. But an E500 coupe is still 30.000 euros cheaper than a 650i coupe

Because klier don't like it and it is sitting in limbo when it comes to segment? Naa... let's not go there, this is about the C-coupe, the E92 and the A5.

Ok?
