Cornering Kingpin
Side profile and front bumper I will give to BMW. Everything else I give to Mercedes.
Which flaws?4er. By a considerable margin; it doesn't exhibit any obvious design flaws. The same cannot be said of the new C Coupe.
^ 911 huh?![]()
I have noticed when you sit down behind the 4-series and down on your knees and lean a little to the left I have noticed that the rear is super sexy. I wonder if I will get the same feeling with the C Coupé![]()

The man really loves his car, don't we all?Andreas... why on earth are you down on your knees behind a car? Stuff is supposed to come out of the exhaust, not go in it!![]()
The rear of the new C-coupe just does not appeal to me. I'm really not a fan of those rear lights and sloping trunk lid/boot. Droopy looking boots never looked good for me.
I can't decide ....
I do wish the C-Coupe had slimmer front and rear lights.
I am guessing the coming E-Coupe will have more differentiation from it's sedan sibling ?

Thats because the 4-Series is as familiar as last-night`s potato soup. (Change up the menu and some want to turn up their nose. It is a subconscious thing.)
BMW keeps dishing up the same stuff and it is a little bit boring imo.
As I posted earlier, the 4 possesses numerous elements of coupe designs from the past.
BMW hardly ever pushes the envelope with something new different.
Thay stick with the tried and tested method with small evolutionary changes
Compare this to the new C coupe. Nothing about it can be traced back to the previous C-Class coupe or the CLK for that matter. The interior, even though derived from the C-sedan is a clear step ahead of the previous C-Class and CLK. It is completely different from those models or any other C-Class.
The C-Coupe and sedan take design cues from the new S, I know.
The evolutionary changes to the new S compared to the previous version are obvious and progressive. Not the baby steps BMW takes with it`s models.
The 3 series coupe and now the 4 series are far too important for BMW to push the design envelope, they did with the 1st gen 6 series when Bangle was in charge.Thats because the 4-Series is as familiar as last-night`s potato soup. The previous C class coupe never really looked like an original idea, it looked and left like a car that was not part of the original design and engineering process, and that is probably true, so it is a good thing that the new coupe doesn't look anything like the previous C.Compare this to the new C coupe.
