M-package for E70 in July

My Space Grey M-Sport 3.0d is built and waiting to be shipped to Germany, should be there in three weeks, then i will have some photos to post, maybe in time for you to decide?

The problem is that your is 3.0d single turbo and i don't want to talk without at least two of them...

Production in Europe scheduled for this fall and i have to wait for mine till March next year.

That's prototype of "is" X5 version with V8 turbo.

That's why I was told (by my sources) Huckfeldt's CGI of X6 was "very similar to X5 M-Sport".

Which I thought was a word about M-package, but now we see it was a word about "X5 M-sport" (= "is" version).

I'm on vacation, so can't check whether the fascia in pics is only for testing purposes, or will appear on pruduction cars as well.

And that is leading me to think that the 2008 X5 will receive power upgrade on both the 3.0i and the 4.8i.

I have no info what's going on in US market, but I guess X5 will get engine upgrades for MY 2009 (in Fall 2008), so after X6 introduction (Spring 2008).

I am just putting together my order of X5 3.0d. I have seen already pictures of M package, but as it was with older M pacages, they look very differently ot released pictures than in real life. I have read some posts from some of you, that you are waiting for X5 with M package, so please, if you have pictures of it that you took, please post them here. They would be very helpful for me

Last week, I saw a white 4.8i w/M parked in front of a dealership as I was stopped at a red light right in front of it.

I only saw it from the front & 3/4-front but the car looked real bad-a$$ with the kit & rims !!

You are lucky in USA and Canada that you alredy have them, but we here in Europe have to wait longer to see it in person. If you could, take a picture and post it I have to complete my order by the end of next week, so there is not so much time to make up my mind.

Seems to be a X5 with M-Sport pack...unfortunately just the back
Looks OK to me.

The M package is 'just' a styling package...it does not include the engine nor does it mean that a 'real' M X5 is on its way...

The first X5's with M package are ready for delivery to the customers (already at the dealers) ..so in the next few days we may get some real-life pictures
