Forget the M5... the 6er with the M Package is just amazing! Those big rims really shrinks the car's size from an elegant GT to a sexy-sporty Coupe! I wouldn't say the M Package is a must-have because I can see how others may like the elegant look of the standard 6er, ...but if you like your to look sporty, aggressive and athletic, the 6er M Package is an absolute no-brainer!

OMG.......MAN...THANKS FOR THOSE PICS......STUNNING.

If BMW NA would quit playing and give the convertible the same treatment I can sell the CLK tomorrow!!!! WOW. Look at that.

Blue, Red, White.....what color looks best.......I can't wait to see the coupe in person. I want a convertible with the same treatment.

Merc1, I ordered Deep Sea Blue, and I like it in these photos. But I think would be happy with it in most colors. Interesting to see how much the presence of the car seems to be affected by the bigger rims.

Somewhere along the way, in a discussion of the LED lights and M package, my dealer indicated that the M package/LED lights would become available on the convertible "once launched in the US via the coupe." Dunno when the official coupe "launch" is in US. These details are a PITA to nail down. For example, I was told the M package in the US would come with Shadowline trim to match the tailpipes...", and this is clearly bad info.

Regarding a US coupe "launch" of some kind, I do know that my coupe sat finished on the dock waiting while other BMWs were loaded onto sea carriers and left for the US. According to tracking, my car is aboard ship somewhere off Boston, making for Baltimore tomorrow. My car should be unloaded at Brunswick, GA port Wednesday. The cars in the photos carry what look to be normal California tags, suggesting that they are regular road cars, as most cars BMWNA controls wear NJ tags. But some carry front tags and some do not, suggesting perhaps they were trucked--or simply removed for cosmetic reasons.

Thats what I was think/hoping that they would add those M-pack and LEDs to the Convertible once the coupe production is fully up and running. I wish the convertible would get the B&O sound system, but I can understand and deal with why it can't/won't have that option. A 650i convertible with the m-pack/leds + other options really is the front runner for my next car (right now), with only the Audi RS5 being a runner up. If Audi can ever get the damn car here, rumored to be next spring which is right around the time I will be serious about buying. Thanks for the info. Everything I've seen about the coupe indicates an October launch.

Damn, I am all about that White one! Too bad this car is priced too high IMO.

Those rims look SO good, wow. I can't remember ever liking OEM BMW wheels so much. Only problem is that those rubber bands around them are going to ride like hell (kind of diminishing part of the point of spending $100K on a GT car) on most of our U.S roads. I'm already cringing when looking at those pencil-thin tires and imagining them trying to diffuse the harshness from the roads around where I live.

Thanks, both.

I do think the blue/cinnamon leather will make a nice combo...Have seen both on separate cars, though.

To the October launch comment: My dealer will have to let me "steal" mine before I wait another month for it!

KA: That's what the soft suspension setting is for!

I love the exterior looks too, absolutely flawless as far as I am concerned. The interior however, I am starting to dislike more and more.
I just came back from the dealership here, and I sat in a 640i cabrio for quite a wile to examine it. The fit and finish is fantastic, the quality of materials is of very high quality, but the design is possibly the worst of ANY Bimmer. I just find it awkward and unlike a BMW interior. The 7er on the other hand has a perfect interior. Perfect in capitals.

I guess I might have an explanation about this. If you think about it, 6er dash is just the 7er one with the different screen and the passenger side of the trim cut down. This makes me feel like the car has not its own identity. Something that definetly has regarding exterior design. The 6er interior should have followed the same design route than the Z4 one. The CLS, with a much lower price tag, has a much more sofisticated interior, DESIGN whise.

No doubt it's Alpine white with an M pack,or a red RS5:)(I'm waiting to see what the front bumper looks like). Either way, you'll be fine.

Congrats GreyCoupe, stunning car and color choice. Be sure to tell us how it drives! Get one too Merc1!!

Hey guys question...does the glass roof on the 6 open or is it fixed? Some pics look like it rasied at the back to vent???

Grey Coupe,

If you can figure out how we can get our cars before launch let me know. My car should be half way across the Atlantic. Also I don't think the cars in California are personal ones, but are out for pictures and visibility. I trust my dealer when he says that all U.S. Dealers have to have their launch car within 3 days of each other.

The picture are awesome. The Carbon Black one is mine, but also with cinnamon interior. I wish they had offered saddle like my current 750, but it should be a good combo. I am getting itchy and planning several business trips around Texas to get her on the highway.

Not a fan of the M kit at the front - makes the front end look too garish. The rear looks better with it.

WOW..red 650i in motion..with M Package it looks so good.
BMW did great job with this car.and I wonder just how awesome will new M6 look like..

As far as M6 looks, the aero stuff on the M packaged 6 provides most of the answer. They may go to more aggressive wheel flares depending on what wheels are chosen. Round tailpipes. Probably bad-ass hood design.
