That's a grown up spec. Love it! What makes the M2 particularly appealing is that it's well-equipped for a performance car. Exterior colours are only $650 and if you don't care about carbon fibre seats, you can pick up any base spec M2 from a dealer and be happy.
Colors are pretty limited in the USA, but this is a solid BMW for about 65K. Should be quite popular.

BMW’s manual gearboxes have never been well acclaimed and need a few thousand miles to loosen up. That M2 is brand new.
If you want a gear gearbox from the word go, buy a 911 or Type R.

Quite the opposite for me.
Exactly. When they are priced about the same its a no brainer.
For me it was:
- xDrive
- ID7
- Non black full leather interior, the Fiona red is just awesome
- Choice of exterior colours
- Looks. I mean M4 front is no oil painting but the rest is far superior to the M2
- My F87 M2 LCI buying experience.

The car is a blessing. Remember that BMW doesn't have to build this car similarly to how Porsche don't have to build a 718 GTS 4.0.
BMW could easily have said: M2 is discontinued, if you want sporty and "compact" BMW, buy an M135i or M240i.
Commercially, sales of the M2 is a drop in the ocean compared to bread winning SUVs.
