He said "supercar", which is a bit nebulous but probably counts all of those out.

Yeah, but that makes no sense to me. When 'lesser' cars come with these features already.

Nevertheless, the car looks sensational. Particularly the vert.

Yeah. Matte black with electric blue highlights rock! I look forward to seeing it in creative and individual specs.

When the track later got dry, Stig did 1:16,6 laptime. Impressive...
Seems pretty unimpressive to me. The 11 year old MP4-12C did 1:16.2. The first gen Huracan from 2014 did 1:15.8, the R8 V10 Plus did 1:15.7, the 600LT did 1:15.1 and the 720S did 1:12.6. Well, whatever...

The MC20 doesn’t have the product investment, engineering and tech to compete with its class. But it also can’t/doesn’t want to. This is a decently fun driving, good looking choice for the clients that want something else - something that Maserati has usually been in the past twenty years.

With all due respect that’s just an excuse. To say a car doesn’t want to be or was designed to not be competitive is just nonsense. This car is just the usual story of the Maserati brand, romantic, characterful but smoked by the competition.
