Autozeitung are pushing the agenda on the forthcoming BMW X7.

The flagship (for now) of the X line. Said to be the ultimate synergy of luxury and sport combined with outstanding on road dynamics and the availability of 5 or 7 seats which can be configured for the passengers for ultimate luxury travel.
The outline of the car becomes less upright and owes more to the original outline of the first BMW X5.
One of the highlights will be a plug in hybrid e model equipped with BMW eDrive and a six cylinder topping out at over 400PS but with the consumption of a compact SAV.

I can't wait to see this. Knowing BMW they will try to leapfrog the GL in most ways, especially price since an X5 can cost GL money now. ** Can't believe how pricey the new X5 is ** !

Oh yes. They will be everywhere in a matter of months. I think it is one of the poorest values on the market because it is nothing but a rebadged Chevy. This thing gives GM the license to print money.

They are doing a lot of testing on the X5 40e so this could be one of those models or testing the new B engine series.

I'm not sure if this pics shows really a X7. But when I compare a X5 with this prototype it seems as the section of the windows behind the rear passenger door are wider than at the X5 below.
The prototype on the pics at IAB looks like the one in the post of EMpower above.
