Yes it is similar to that first 5er Touring F11 mule. Front end and chassis of the next generation everything current from the doors backwards.
We will see the actual production body before the end of the year.
X3 leads the new design language for the X models! So they become sharper around the normally soft and contoured edges.
The X7 comes behind the X3 and then a new X4 and by then the first X2 also.[/QUOTE
Is that the body of the old (current) X3? It looks virtually the same in the spy shots.

Figured that much, thanks. The front is the only part that actually looks different. And dare I say much better already.
@ ENI, Dear
If you put both X3 side by side you can see it is a Carbon copy, also if you look at the front section it is broader than the rear which is the F25.
If you two guys are talking about the car in pics mickaBZH posted in post [HASHTAG]#39[/HASHTAG], then you two gotta be smoking something.
But sure it's an evolutionary styling since the platform is the same.
It was a question. The cars look very much the same right now. But looking carefully I see a new character line, without the stupid dropping part.
Also the wheel arches are more beefy. Rocker panel is different. As said: character line does not sharply drops down @ the front; character line is more prominent & 3D. There's another character crease on the top of the front wheel arch. the C-pillar kink is different. Tail gate is different. Rear window is a bit steeper and smaller. The rear lights (the cut lines for the original clusters can be seen) are smaller, thinner - the wrap around part on the flanks is more pointy, triangular. And of course the front kidney grille is flatter & connected to the headlights. Etc.
It's an evolution. As already seen on latest X5 & 7er, and even X1 (although having different proportions due to UKL platform & being noticeably higher than predecessor). Expect the same with the upcoming 5er. Evolution.

So the new "design language" is "evolution" (Eni)? You're right this time. It's the first BMW to show the new design language.
If you compare both rounds of spy photographs you can see they are entirely different cars as I originally pointed out.

Guys, think harder ...
Hints:
no X-specific kink @ A-pillar / side mirror ...
no X-specific additional air intake just below the kidney grille ...
no X-specific round fog lights in the front bumper ...
