While the realization is interesting, there is little new to the concept. M-Benz presented smth similar with its 'liquid metal' based car last year. That one was a pure sci-fi excercise while GINA has clearly a lot more going on in terms of concrete engineering, but still...
I'm with Mr. Mercedes on this one. We will be dead and buried when/if this Gina is on the road. Good luck with meeting crash and safety standards with that technology. Speaking of which, the Gina concept shows BMW to be a technology leader?! Are we not getting carried away here, Rob? I thought the future of automobile is the fuel cell, smth BMW has shown very little about.
As for the styling, I see lots of angles here. Inspired by the GLK ENI? Is this the first conceptual revision of the styling?

In order to be a leader, you need to have followers. I sure hope no one follows the direction BMW is taking with this hideous contraption.
this is pure art!

Angles are part of flame surfacing. They have always been.
Talking about sharp curvy fluent creases separating concave surfaces here.
And mix of concave / convex surfaces. That's the essence flame surfacing. As they are smooth panels / surfaces with fluent creases.
Completely different of rectangular / boxy nature of eg. GLK. Not to mention bloated rectangular surfaces. Ouch!
BMW's styling is more organic
