Which is then followed by a public debut at the next major European auto show, which is early October in Paris. Which will probably lead to it going on sale shortly after that. Heard on Bimmerpost of rumours pointing to an unveiling on July 9/10.

Then again, last year's 7 series was scheduled for the Frankfurt Motor show but was unveiled over a couple earlier to that.

Have to admit, it has been quiet for the last few weeks which may indicate that an official unveiling could be imminent.

Porsche is officially unveiling the 2nd generation Panamera in a couple of days (although pictures have already leaked), so it would make sense of BMW to unveil their new 5 some days later.

I seen the Panamera was showcased at Goodwood in its final disguise form driven by Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatonomy. Who was given the Dr Drake Ramoray elevator shaft treatment when he crossed swords with show creator Shonda Rimes.
