Impressive that you can already see all those lines, I personally find it impossible to see through the camo.

Not that difficult IMO. One just have to pay attention. Plus the renders give you a really good idea. Basically a "let's draw a line here and see what happens". There must be an old MB designer there or something LOL.

I like the looks so far, evolutionary for sure but it looks to be more crisp. Less rounded off, more aggressive. The F10 is sweet so why change things too much?

I think the front looks perfect - the cluster design , the inner graphics and the grill all work perfectly together

I must say, hate to do so, but.....slightly boring.

Perfect proportions and all and generally pretty flawless, but I am starting to miss Bangle, and all those Hommage cars and other concepts don't help either

I see several times a week a dark blue 545i with the M Pack that looks so facking good 13 years after the design came out. Best Bangle design by a mile IMO. Of course it had its flaws (that interior...), but the stance is fantastic. And the front still looks much more aggressive than the F10 or this G30.

Btw, kudos to @klier for the demands of non L-shaped rearlights. The E60 and the 2002 hommage prove how good they can look if done right. The G20 3er would be the ideal car to debut them.

And the G30 front isn't separated from the rest of the car by that shutline. Makes the whole front look like something you can quickly change in a pitstop.

It takes a lot of cues from 7er but appears much more dynamic and less formal. It looks great live. But don't expect revolution. And if you don't like connected kidneys + headlights then you won't like G30 5er either.

The connected headlights theme is actually a variation on the classic BMW theme which was when kidney grilles were taller but less broader. Today because lighting technology is advanced and that there is no need for a facia type grille that runs the length of the front of the car. In a way the connected front extends back to that era except that the kidney grille is much wider but also there is that little touch in between the kidneys finished in black so the lights and centre all align just like BMWs from yesterday.
