If you look at this as a large 2+2 coupe with easier access to the back seat for occasional passengers it's not odd.
Yupp. I think Jaguar will be aiming for continental gt and db12 customers. Basically form over function and fully hedonistic purchase with minimal practicality considerations.

I wonder what sales targets will be. Like 2,000 units per year?

Like real units. Not cars driven by jlr management as company cars and then dumped to dealers after 3,000 miles OR VIP deals for celebrities at €600 per month for 1 year.
 
It might not even be a big four doors luxury sedan?, but rather a contraption with reduced rear doors... supposedly that's what repels the Chinese, too many strange inventions together, a bizarre formula, let's see if the striking design does its part
 
They really should’ve made it with coach doors like a Rolls-Royce or a Purosangue.
