Well, going stictly by the pictures, we know ther is a V8 FSI, and a 3.0 V6 TDI
At first I thought this was a V6...
The V8 will have Valvelift, too?

the muscular shoulder line and front end.
You mean this shoulder line?![]()
Tha Avante's pretty attractive actually.![]()

haha, yeah, but I wouldn't call it muscular![]()
To be honest.. I'm heavily disappointed with the exterior design..
I totally agree with Sunny.. IMO the design is a step backwards after the R8 and the TT.. The wavy shoulder line doesn't do it at all.. maybe I have to see in real life first..won't take long till I do. The front is totally ruined by the hideous contra-directioned air intakes.. the whole car looks like it's been design by an external studio which was trying with all violence to use Audi's design elements on a body with a very different form language..
I'm very excited to see what Wolfgang Egger is going to do to Audi's design, becase if the Q5 id going to look like this, I think Audi needs some help.. never thought I'd ever say something like that![]()
The A5's shoulder line is simply a less pronounced and shorter version of the R8's.I agree that it looks very different from all the Audis we have seen so far. The R8 also had a rather stout shoulder line that is only interrupted by the wheel arches, like in the new TT.
The A5 however has an entirely new shoulder line that doesn't look like an Audi from the start. However, I think it's quite special - will this wavy thing be a one-off? I hope so.
The rear also hints at future rear light designs.
It reminds me of the Bentley CGT a little bit too -- those curves are unusual on an Audi. The front is the only thing that I would like to see changed -- it doesn't have quite the same impact as the rest of the design IMO.First Audi I don't like at first sight. First picture I didn't like the front, later I did. Profile reminds me of Bentley Continental for some reason, rear of a Lexus, maybe LS. Don't know yet, won't make this my final judgement.
