Spreading rumors heard through the grapevine that MB will offer their own interpretation of Audi's virtual dash. I'm not talking about the two-screen-style as in the E and S, more like digital dials. Afaik German car journalist Georg Kacher also mentioned, that MB could come up with some kind of "pop-up-screen".

The a class will get full park assist.
The a class will receive top of the line safety features known from the e class such as the PRE-SAFE impulse.

This model most likely will be a big improvement over current model in space, visibility, boot capacity and comfort/ride as well as interior design and quality will take a huge leap forward in my opinion. MAybe it will have evolutionary looks.

What is to be expected for the interior?

I saw the upcoming B class, the GLB (or whatever it'll be called in the end to not scare very conservative customers off), and the CLA on clinics late last and early this year. If their interiors are any indication of what's to come in the A class, there will be no retractable screen. Instead, there will be screens slightly reminiscent of the i3 (free-standing without hood), probably in 3 variants: 1 small screen for the instruments, 2 small separate ones, and one very broad one. Dash and stuff will look more 'modular' and offer various customizing options. For the GLB, there will be a rougher variant of dash with visible tubes that look like they come straight out of the building supplies store.
If I remember correctly, on-site analyses revealed that participants rated the interiors as ok, B class received average exterior ratings (with the Golf Sportsvan winning and 2er Sports Tourer slightly ahead). The GLB received surprisingly negative exterior ratings.

Very interesting information Busty. What happens if the ratings achieved are 'ok' or 'negative'. Do they go back to the drawing board?

I wouldn't be surprised if they had previewed parts of the interior of MFA2 with the Concept EQ, that's what they did for example with the Concept S-Class Coupe that showed parts of the new E-Class.

It better, because the current A class is an utter disaster in every way. Looks, quality, ride, handling and design: all crappy for an MB.

To compensate, an A Sedan sitting below the C, but above the CLA might be in the pipeline?

Very interesting...not sure both the CLA and A sedan are necessary.

Here in Australia, to compensate for the lack of an A3 Sedan/CLA competitor BMW is offering a drastically stripped down 316i.

I hope the new MFA platform brings the desired ride and refinement improvements needed on these lower end Benzes.
