F1 2007 Hungarian GP

Bull***t.

Nobody is being a racist here. I'm sick and tired of this "racist" non-sense whenever somebody here criticises wonderboy Hamilton.
It's has nothing to do with the colour of his skin but his character and mentality.

As for sore, that's Hamilton. He's got 17 laps vs. Alonso's 17 to beat him. He lost on equal ground, disobeyed the team, and went to the stewarts to "fix" things.
So don't let the facts the way of your judgement.

I beg to differ, I think its Hamilton's squeaky clean image that has been tainted. I've read several F1 forums, and this is the consensus. Hamilton will stop at nothing to win, including refusing to follow team orders, which even Alonso does.

Well some actually said it's good what he did. He showed he's that a****** factor found in Senna/Prost/Schumacher that shows he's one of the greats.

James Allen certainally agreed to that and said it is a good thing.

itv.com/f1 - James Allen's verdict

This is no Tim Henman-type character (not that we ever thought he was) this is a steely ruthless racing driver, who has the ‘killer instinct’ that great champions in this sport must have.

Personally I do think Hamilton's image is tainted. I don't think a "nice guy" will disobeya simple team order and tell Ron "Don't f*cking do this to me again" I guess when the prize is so close, desperation sets in and Lewis will want to secure the championship as soon and as quicky as possible.

As for those hardcore Lewis supporters out there, he is not as clean and fair as you think.

That ancient F1 philosophy is garbage:D. I want teammates to fight for the championship like American sales men working for the same dealership.

If it would be fair Alonso's would NOT have to give Hamilton his setup, driving technique and the car he developed alongside de la Rosa.
Hamilton would be left with crap setup (his own) a la Silverstone coupled to an underdeveloped McLaren like in 2006, and adapting his driving style similar to Alonso's.

Oh and when his team would beat him to the pole on the same number of laps (17 vs. 17), he would NOT go to the stewarts to claim he was unfaily blocked.

It's laughable that so many people instantly bought into the gimmick that Hamy is a really, really, undeniably nice guy. I think Schumacher said (after he nearly chopped his brother into a wall at 300 km/h) that F1 is not a place for happy-go-lucky fellows to sit around enjoying a picnic. Many multiple WDCs are moody, super competitive, self-absorbed loners. Those aren't characteristics normally associated with nice guys!

i remember that race. Nurburgring 2001 i think. well, as we all know, MS was pretty much like Senna. win at all costs. he doesn't give a damn brother or no brother. on the track, they are rivals. another race comes into mind is the 2000 Spanish gp. MS went wheel to wheel with Ralf, pushed him wide, and let Rubens take 3rd place.

post race, Ralf stormed off the track, and MS, in an interview, said that he doesn't hesitate to give Ralf a proper fight on the track. typical of Michael.

well, Hamilton himself said, that he, assumed and thought MS was an arrogant person. till Turkey last yr. Hammi had a fabulous race, and MS, met him down in the paddock, and praised his driving skills. Hammi went on to mention that MS was indeed his idol, and he was honoured that MS took notice of his race, and had a word or 2 with him.

One of my former college friend actually met MS in a gala dinner we have here anually. she snapped pics with him got him to sign some autographs, and she told me MS was pretty shy to all the attention he gets off the track. she said he was simple, and he told her that it means a lot for fans like her to come up to him and ask him for autographs and pics.

doesn't seem like a moody person to me.

Actually, I was responding to IE's assertion that Hamy acted like a backstabbing hypocrite, which I immediately agreed with. As for you using the F word, using the word alone doesn't qualify you as a hypocrite. I think Hamilton slagging off his mentor makes him look like a hypocrite because since the day he entered F1 he has been given this nice guy image. He hasn't really justified that image since he went around calling backmarkers monkeys and now curses Mr. Integrity like an ungrateful prat.

I don't need a legit reason to hate Hamilton, just as most people here don't need a reason to hate Alonso. I bet he's acquire a huge number of haters after the pitstop fiasco. I don't know if that would be a legit reason to hate him, but it doesn't need to be.

+1 about Hammi.

Alonso, IMO, is the most complete driver out there. i just can't stand his whining. and oh yes...he's a totally bad and sore loser.

Alonso rumored to leave McLaren

Fernando Alonso on Sunday refused to commit to honouring the full three year term of his McLaren contract. The Spaniard joined the Woking based team from Renault this year, but has endured rocky relationships with his British colleagues Lewis Hamilton and team boss Ron Dennis.
Alonso finished fourth on Sunday after his pole position was docked when stewards found that he “unnecessarily impeded” teammate Hamilton in a qualifying pitstop. Asked by Spanish reporters in Budapest whether he will still be racing for Dennis’ outfit in 2008 and 2009, 26-year-old Alonso replied: “I don’t know, I don’t know.
“We will see.”
One such reporter enquired as to whether it would be a fair comment to surmise that he expected to be treated differently by McLaren this year after arriving as a twice world champion.
“Very fair. That is absolutely true,” Alonso said.

Well Alonso can always go back to Renault, judging by the way things are going for Fisichella, there will be an empty seat at Renault by the end of this year, but then he has to deal with Heikki Kovalainen, who isn't as soft and slow as Fisichella.

James Allen certainally agreed to that and said it is a good thing.

Well said. There are only 7 races left. Both had pretty much the same points and winning is the only thing they are focusing on.

As for Hamilton's "saint"-like image, it is has definitely been damaged and from now on he will probably transform into a robot like Kimi who always is stone cold.

Anyhow it will be interesting to see how Mclaren will be dealing with Alonso And Hamilton in the races to come, since it is pretty clear that both will do what ever it takes to win, even if it means disobeying orders and swinging elbows at each other.

I honestly don't expect Alonso to stay @ McL, so I'm not surprised about the rumours.

So most of U stop with bashing the rookkie , especialy <SEL> JUST GET A NEW HOBBY!

This is a forum. Gene, myself or any other member has a right to criticize/bash whoever we want. Believe it or not, F1 needs the die-hard, passionate fans like us because unlike the bandwagon fans, we stick with the sport through all its peaks and troughs! By the way, Alonso has been bashed for pages upon pages and not much has been said about the people bashing him. Certainly, none of the Alonso bashers have been cast as racists. You know why? Because they're not racist and it's their right to bash him.

Moss, you likewise have every right to defend Lewis or any other driver, just as any other member has a right to view him negatively. What you don't have a right to do is call another member a racist because he differs with you on Lewis!

Alonso's ain't going anywhere. Mark my words ;) but, should Ron Dennis retire with stress end of this year, it could be a whole lot of diff story :)

Now tell me, what is Kubica's background? Can you tell me the hardship his family has had to get through to get him to F1? Which team sponsored him? How many times has the camera focussed on his family? I'm sure you don't know much about his background. But I can tell you now that Kubica had it harder than Hamilton by far.

Of course we don't know much about Kubica's background. According to the media, we probably have no reason to because there is no human face to the Kubica story. He doesn't parade his family around to every race. I have never agreed with F1 families going to every race, no matter if it is Erja Hakkinen, Coulthard's girlfriends, Connie Montoya, the Schumacher wives, Mr. Integrity's bird, Michelle Yeoh or anyone else.

As for those hardcore Lewis supporters out there, he is not as clean and fair as you think.

Hamilton also necessitated an inquiry after Monaco because he went hopping mad after he was told to hold station behind Alonso. I think the team policy is for the drivers to shut up and handle things in private. Two more incidents this weekend of him disregarding the team's tried and proven procedures. He's been in the team for nine-years, so he knows the rules. Many of his hardcore fans think he is squeaky clean because the British media immediately tried to shove down our throats that he is cleaner than a baby's bottom.

I think I have overlooked one things about Lewis reportedly slagging off Mr. Integrity. As I have said before, Lewis is a marketing dream partly because of his constructed nice guy image and the family hardships in his background. Some experts expect him to earn £100 million per year after his first title, which will probably be this year. His employer, the Team of Utmost Integrity, is supposed to be worth only £240 million. Lewis could theoretically buy his team in 3-years!

This begs the question: If you could buy out your boss/mentor and his company in 3-years, how many of you can resist telling him or her to "fu*ken swivel?"

Well I think highly of anyone until I'm shown to believe the opposite. I don't judge anyone and so far Hamilton hasn't given me a reason to dislike him like I hated Shumi when he parked the car at Monaco last year.

Further more how the magazines portraits him is not anything he should be held responsible for since he doesn't seem to ask for it, and is not a media whore like Paris Hilton.

Always take what analysts and experts say with a big table spoon of salt. Making prediction about the future is something they love to do, and often they tend to exaggerate. The only way Hamilton will reach the same salary level as Shumi did during is prime time is if he win 2 championship in a row.

well english is not my first language, so i dont really care, im sure u got my point tho :usa7uh: but being a loser and a rasict is much worse than my grammer mistakes.

Haha, I laugh at how you must stoop so low as to call me a loser and racist because I don't agree with you. Fact is that you must call me a loser and racist to try gain the upper hand, but that is a loser attitude in itself. If you want to prove a point, make an valid argument. In my opinion, all your credibility and respect went out the window with that comment.

For you information, I'm Chinese growing up in New Zealand which is predominantly European and Maori, so don't you dare call me racist. I've been at the receiving end of several racist comments, so I know exactly what it feels like.

Not liking Hamilton because he's black? Don't even go there. I haven't once said anything about Hamilton's skin colour, I don't like him because I don't want to like him. It has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, the colour of his hair, what sex he is. I just don't like him. Get over yourself, mate. Not everyone has to agree with you.

And FYI, just because English isn't your first language doesn't make it an excuse not to proof read your post before posting. Proof reading your post and making sure it makes sense give you credibility - of which your post simply lacks.

The interesting thing is that Alonso is contracted until 2010 to be the primary driver of McLaren. If Hamilton wins the championship or is given primary driver status next year, it might be an out-clause for Alonso to leave?

Wonder when its going to the point where one of the drives into the back of the other so they both can't finish in the points. My bet is in Monza.

Good job mate:usa7uh:
It seems I am late to the party- I am still recovering from my bruises. The race was a disaster in my opinion.
My hopes of us winning the Constructors and WDC is becoming a fleeting illusion.
