Back on topic. I`m wondering when we will see those rumered Camless engines we were discussing sometime back. MB likes to introduce new engines opon face/lift
time. Do some of you feel the camless engines will be ready by then?

Mercedes used camless engines for DiesOtto research, but doesn't seem to plan it for production.

"Our goal is to make the gasoline engine as efficient as diesels and diesels
as clean as the gasoline engine. On the diesel side, we are now almost at the

filters. Now we are working to make the gasoline engine as economical as
a diesel. This we have grouped together under the working title "DiesOtto".
