That's interesting, was in a new gle coupe other day, driving along, suddenly all of command or whatever its now calles restarted. It remembered route and re loaded, but is second time in a month. Music also stopped. So only the screen crashed in this instance, but no doubt an update

A small update. I did have my service, but MB didn’t find anything, no error message, no nothing. Apparently nothing serious.

Possible, it was circa 30 degrees Celsius at that time. The last week however, it was up till 39 degrees Celsius and everything worked fine.

It is indeed the longest time I’ve ever hold onto the same car. And still see no reason to let it go.
I’d be happy to share some interior photos, if you don’t mind waiting till next week. It’s holding up remarkably well.

I think the W222 will age well. It has been almost ten years since it was introduced and it still looks pretty good in my eyes.

Which engine does it have? What parts has been replaced throughout its life span? Belts, alternator, fuel pump, gearbox oil? Give us some details please.

S350d straight in line six cylinder diesel engine (OM 656). 286 hp/600 Nm torque. Zero parts replaced, except for tyres, oil and air filters. Gearbox oil has been changed at the last service (252.000 km). If memory serves, gearbox oil change is approximately every 60.000 km. So does oiling/smearing the panorama roof. Motor oil change (circa 9 liters) takes place every 25.000 km.
Brakes (discs and pads), exhaust inclusive the whole chemical plant (catalyst, Adblue etc.) are still the first. Second windscreen after the first got a crack after been hit by a little stone.

I still love the W222. It’s so much more characterful than the W223.

Your S350d still looks fantastic Mick for a car that has done 260,000km the interior is mint. Seats hardly show any signs of wear.
