Info is very hard to read, and it looks like the E500 engine power is wrong. The E500 has 388 hp, and the 550i 407 hp

Edit, yep that looks a lot better

I think the 550i 407 is BHP, while 402 is HP. I guess he was quoting HP and not BHP for the 550i.

Really? The GS430 seems to be very easy to use.

I'm with Raoul again on this one. The Lexus interface is very unintuititve and varys signficantly from vehicle to vehilce. My uncles have 2007 GS and IS vehicles, indetically equipped, and you could not confidently move from one to the other and know how to operate all the systems like you could with a BMW or Mercedes. The interface logic is also quite bizarre in quite a few instances.

^Of course. I'm talking about just using the Lexus system...not the similarities between the models.

Regarless of the lack of harmony in the line-up, my Dad's RX400H was just a pain to use.

The Marl&Levinson did sound good, was an ergonomic nightmare though (just one example: there are buttons marked 1 to 6, used for the stored radio frequencies. When you use the CD changer instead, in every car in the known universe, those buttons are used to change from CD 1 to 6. Not here, no, we needed ages to fiund out how to do that. Instead, several of those buttons loose any function, while on eis used for repeat, the other for random...).

Some buttons are so weirdly placed that you never manage to find them (again just one example: the button to fold the mirrors is incredibly low and unreachable for a normal human being without putting the head under the dash. And of course, it's not situated where the buttons to adjust the mirror's position, no, that would be way too logical!!)

No seriously, imo, if Lexus manages to build theirs cars at a lower price, it's because they do not use any designer nor any ergonomist...

Somebody change my Vote to the E, now that I'm a biased Owner. :D

49 Votes, ahem.

Yeah, it was an interesting situation. And a pretty long story (if it's all explained in how it step by step happened). I think most of those Posts documenting it are in this Thread a couple or so pages back, or in the W212 Official Thread.

To put it extremely shortly, I had like 3-4 M-B Models I was considering, and looked at them all at one Dealer to compare (they happened to have about all, or at least close variations to what I was looking for). Ironically the W212 ended up costing the most, but I couldn't help but see all things stack up for it, when weighing everything.

Look for my review of the E350 vs. 535i. I been meaning to post it, but have just been busy with stuff so haven't gotten the chance. On Friday, it should be up.

Well fair enough but a nicely specced E60 with M pack IMO looks better than a standard W212 with no visible exhausts and double fogs.. And F10 always looks great, even a base 520d.
