M8 [Video reviews] BMW 8er/M8 Coupe, Cabriolet and GranCoupe (G14/G15/G16)

The BMW M8 is the high-performance version of the BMW 8 Series (G15) marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. Introduced in June 2019, the M8 was initially produced in the 2-door convertible (F91 model code) and 2-door coupe (F92 model code) body styles. A 4-door sedan (F93 model code, marketed as 'Gran Coupe') body style was added to the lineup in October 2019. The M8 is powered by the BMW S63 twin-turbocharged V8 engine shared with the BMW M5 (F90). Official website: BMW M

C'mon @Betty Swollocks … it's getting a bit tiresome to follow your ongoing skirmish with @hovabongZA, @SCOTT27 and (to some extent) @nikola1984 here … why can't you just ignore them? They do not attack you … but you seemingly can't stop those side blows all the time :(

I've no idea why you're trying to start a discussion like this, by bringing up my skirmish with hovabongZA, and also mentioning two other people, who have absolutely nothing to do with this thread. I responded directly to a post of hovabongZA where he said it's going to be a great year for BMW fans. He can post what he likes, but he doesn't get to choose who responds to him. If someone comes on a public forum and makes a statement, then you have to be prepared for someone to react to it. It's a public forum.

As for the other two, I'm not going to get into a discussion in this thread. Nikola1984 is certainly not innocent at all. I've politely asked him to stop spamming threads with photos and videos in the past, and to post them in the correct threads, only to be met with ratings designed to provoke me, and then several MORE posts where he just spams threads. He continually spams threads in direct contravention of forum rules, even to this day. So don't tell me he does nothing to me.

If you want further clarification then you can PM me, where I will be more than happy to give you my thoughts.

We'd be thankful to anyone who keeps posts related to the topic of the thread.

@Betty Swollocks @manuelf

Thank you for keeping the discussion civil and for the suggestion to take it private if you wish to further discuss the topic as long as it's respectful.

As you already know, if there's post that you believe is violating the rules of the forum, you can report it and the mods team will take necessary steps to resolve it.

Thanks :)

Not bad at all the GPS and speedo reading are 2kph off that’s pretty good. Doesn’t sound bad either if your want to fully enjoy that exhaust you’ve got to go convertible.

The lap time is unrealistically slow, don't know the cause

We would have to see the lap time, sometimes those that seem slow and boring are the fastest, I had never seen the track from that POV, thanks

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
