Angle of the photo and choice of trim colors DOES play a HUGE role with visual perception.

So, this shot and color combo seems to suddenly give the 7 Series and edge of best cabin I(MO) have ever seen in a car.

And there you have it! The S-class belongs with Rolls and Bentley, W222's cabin is so mature it looks shiny and as kitsch as any British Luxury car. For just the overuse of Chrome with the Air Vents front and rears seats, says: kitsch.

The only thing wrong with the Lexus is that it's being treated by the German car enthusiasts. An obvious (expected) reaction. I admire the hard work Lexus put in their products to rival the benchmark German brands! Considering the factors like age, quality & the customer satisfaction, Lexus sure is a huge success! Probably, not as good as others, but sure is the only alien brand who actually made it there. That's considerably big mark to achieve when you're talking about a brand that's only 24 years old. LF-A could be a glance at Lexus' future!

I've always loved the LS. She's just fine as she is. It's a Japanese car with original styling & profile. She doesn't necessarily have to look like German cars to rival them. I respect the fact, she's the only car who actually made it possible to get up there & compete with big giants!

IMO, the best time is when one of the cars in the segment has just been updated, i.e. now.

The product from the brand in my avatar is already half a decade old. Now explain 'better' for better understanding!

If i remember correctly the S class won the poll made last,when it was the oldest of the bunch.

This poll should (and almost certainly will) be rerun when the other cars in the poll are updated. They will have the "new car" advantage at that point. That's as even as it's ever going to get. If one car keeps winning even when it's older than the others, then that car is the benchmark in the segment. The S-class is one of those benchmark cars. The Porsche 911 and BMW M3 spring to mind as some other examples.

Huh? The poll shows how many members prefer each car overall. It's simple and uncomplicated. That's what it means and that is the added value, just like every other poll here (that you never complained about btw). I think I am observing a correlation between avatars and complaints about this poll

Hilarious. I see nothing but a sea of black plastic and/or enlarged 5-Series. Not saying it isn't good, but in pics this interior is about as drab as possible in this segment.
