The Official Tire Thread - discuss your tyre experience/suggest a good tire

Goodyear RS as well, who knew? The difference with the Pirelli Corsa is massive, wow! I'd figured it to be more like half that.

I had a set of Bridgestone Potenza Sport fitted two days ago, with 235/40R18 at the front and 265/35R18 at the rear. So far I'm quite happy!

I don't think I've ever seen a performance tyre be that consistent lap after lap. Very impressive. I'm interested to know the make-up of the compound they've used.

AutoBild did a really cool test of N0 Porsche spec semi-slicks for 992 RS in the latest issue.
They compared 6 tire models, split between two tiers: Michelin Cup 2, Pirelli P Zero Corsa and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport R representing the regular kind and then the more hardcore Cup 2 R, Trofeo RS and Eagle F1 Supersport RS.

I took the liberty to collect the data into spreadsheet to hopefully avoid running into legal issues by sharing this with you.

Trofeo RS is so damn good!

Aaaand there's a mistake 🫠 Goodyear RS wasn't tested in wet handling. Wish I could delete it and post again. Oh well... Here's the fixed image

Thank you for sharing.

Is there any mention in the article as to why the Goodyear wasn't tested in those particular parameters?

Hats off to them, they were quite thorough. I do wish they had included Continental's Extreme Sport Contact 7 which is measured as one of the current industry leaders.

To my surprise they didn't give any reasoning for that, beyond "nicht getestet" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Continental probably isn't available in N0 specification.

BTW, one cool bit of trivia is that Trofeo RS had so much grip in dry braking, that the car couldn't keep up with downshifts to the point of stalling the engine.

They released a video showing both a wet and a dry lap from ^that test. Nardo Handling Course looks like a blast in that car.
