This is the second UK magazine group test including Ariel Atom 4R, at a race track, with no lap times 😞.
Fair enough, Autocar just had bad luck with the weather. But honestly, f#ck Top Gear for not doing any timed sessions on GotlandRing.
That car is such a beast on paper. In the road test of the latest EVO issue, they said it's "665 kg as tested", which could mean it's 695 kg with full tank. An absolute missile when equipped with the aero kit and sticky Advans.

Curious how they measure the 1/4 mile. This is a 9.9 time with no rollout. Not a 10.2. 2.6 seconds to 60 mph and 155 in 11 seconds should be 9.9 at about 148 mph trap.

Yes, I found that strange too. Same 0-100 kph time as the 720S, but above it's quicker with a worse(?) quarter mile time? 10,02 was the McLaren's time.

This test must be of a customer car? Especially when you compare it to the juiced up Assetto Fiorano press cars.

The W211 E55 AMG is a mega saloon from its era. This 20 year old saloon can still hit over 300km/h on the autobahn with such rock solid stability and not much noise.

Doesn't appear to be a ringer. Weight is inline with customer cars. Power is just slightly above Ferrari claims. And if you look at how US mags test, remove .2 seconds from all the times here and it's in-line with Car and Drivers test. 2.5 to 100 kph, 6.8 to 200 kph. That's rapid.
