M5 The New BMW M5 (F90) Driven

The BMW M5 is a high-performance variant of the BMW 5 Series marketed under the BMW M sub-brand. It is considered an iconic vehicle in the sports saloon category. The first M5 model was hand-built beginning in late 1984 on the E28 535i chassis with a modified engine from the M1 that made it the fastest production saloon at the time. M5 models have been produced for every generation of the 5 Series since 1984, with occasional gaps in production (1995 to 1998, 2023 to 2024). Official website: BMW M
Precisely, I don't know what people expect the predominant M5-buying customer base to look like...

Internet forum jockeys: helmet, racing overalls and Sparco booties; gifted driver, goes to the Ring once a month and mixes it up with 911s.
Expectation of daily use:

Reality: smart shirt, pants, trendy sunglasses and expensive wrist watch; no formal high-performance certifications, will never take their M5 onto a circuit.
Majority of daily use:

Well said. Some journalists still miss the point also and are so lost in the past. It's a new world, a world of tech, gadgetry, luxury, prestige....and if you can squeeze in some great driving dynamics also, you got a winner.

Now if we talk about the M2/M3/M4, that's a different beast with a different customer base.

Fml i hate him I've watched all videos so far even the ones I couldn't understand. But this is where I draw the line.

If you have been in the same room or on the same stand. You have to leave as you would not be responsible for your actions. But there is not just one but an entourage.

So guys tomorrow in going to place my order
And i will go for this silver metallic or silver matt with the aragon brown interior

Peeeerfect spec. I'd stick with silver metallic, the matte colours aren't for me.

Best interior colour too in my opinion...Are you adding any M-performance parts to the mix?

Thanks. Great review by the way; I got more out of it than dozens of paragraphs of journo-babble.

I need to see more of the Aragon Brown in real life to have a better opinion but from your pics it does look good. I would personally go for Donington Grey but I'm not sure if that exterior goes well with a brown interior :eusa_thin

In my opinion, regarding colour combos, exterior to interior:
  • Black exterior goes with black, light grey and red interior
  • Dark blue goes with saddle brown, dark brown, beige and cream
  • Yellow goes with black, nothing else
  • White goes with black, red
  • Dark metallic grey goes with dark brown, black and at a push, red
  • Silver goes with black, nothing else
  • BRG goes with beige
  • Yellow, orange and red go with black only; same goes for turquoise-y hues.

And also most importantly artist goes with klier (<3)

The problem i like the light colours
White silver yellow possible also
But what i can see now in this new M5 all exterior colours looks good.the grey is nice also but its not something so new cause its already in the X5m and X6
And when you choose a light exterior color you should go for dark interior like brown or black
And i don’t want black cause my yellow M5 already have black interior.

Exciting times ahead for you. Pure metal silver or any other exclusive shade will make the car look exquisite. If you like matte, get a matte paint protection film.

I admire his ambition and thank him for uploading new content very quickly. However his "reviews" could do with some structure or at least a summary at the end.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
