What is that tinny thing between the air vents of the ML?

Looks like a Casio screen.

That screen...Absolutely horrendous to see such a thing in a premium German car. The whole ML interior looks really bad imo.

X5 gets my vote. Still best in class going by screens only. Interior looks, with the Cayenne, best in class too.

My vote went to the Range Rover I have seen and experienced it in metal, very nice SUV. It`s a head above the rest followed by the porsche.

Both the ML and X5s interiors look like thay are made from tubs of plasitic by comparison. I happen to like the X5 a hair better because it has a bit more detail. The ML is quit sparse. Those HVAC controls are really outdated.

I have a feeling I would choose the X5 after seeing it in the metal. Unless it rides anything like the old one did (read brittle!).

From a design POV this generation Cayenne actually really appeals to me, though I've never driven one and it is priced considerably more expensive than the comparable X5 and ML here in Australia.

Range Rover - Nice looking on the outside, but the interior no longer appeals to me and I think they have gone 2 steps backwards. What works on the Evoque looks slightly cheap and underdone on the Sport.

On design alone, I would pick the Range Rover. Although when it came down to it, I might buy the Porsche.

The BMW just looks bland.

@martinbo Don't be sorry (be safe) Boet, it will grow on you;):D

Getting to terms with it. It's like giving water to a seedling, growing and growing more and more each day one me.

OK. Perfect evolution from the unbeatable E53 -> E70 -> F15, great evolution into what we have here. The F15's styling has fine detailing with nice creases that captures the light perfectly. And IRL that nicely-evolved-tactile cabin and steering position will, once again put the competition to shame.

Just keep looking those who doubt it, like I admittedly done from the first photo's, will come around eventually. And as time passes we will see/read the comparison tests, those in turn will prove me right.

How's that! Well done I'd say, well done-BMW(y)

No matter what @Kilcrohane said about JLR, I still find it the most attractive SUV, design wise. Technically it can fall short in different departments, but honestly, if you buy X5M or cayenne turbo for track days ? You are absolutely mistaken. You will most probably offroad it more often (where RR shines) than tracking it. Hence, my scientific answer is: Jeep Grand Cherokee :D no seriously its RR sport.

Everytime I see a Cayenne Turbo here (they are very popular in the ME), I drool so much. The perfect SUV on the planet. I want one!

^ Cayenne GTS looks even better imo

But it's a bit unfair in this poll where we compare standard cars ;)

No, but you do buy them for supreme sedan like driving characteristics. Something the RR doesn't have.

Klier is correct. That is my biggest gripe with my RR Sport. And the archaic infotainment system.

I miss my F10! Next SUV for me has to be the Cayenne S Diesel facelift. It will have superb driving characteristics and tonnes of thrust from the beautiful engine. Of course, provided the world economy doesn't collapse again.....

Mate if you chip it you'll be amazed just how quick that big Cayenne can go, the guy that tuned my normal Cayenne Diesel told me of an outfit he works with in Germany that did one and in real world situations it's actually better than the Cayenne Turbo.

I'm almost ashamed to say ;) , but in this comparison is there's only one for me: Porsche Cayenne. But, comfort junk as I am, I'd never buy a SUV.

Sure, any chance of posting up a dyno run of your chipped Cayenne?

Sorry I can't, its been sold on a few weeks back and I'm currently slumming it in the business VW Caddy until I make the final decision of what to replace it with.

I wasn't present for the dyno run and didnt get a printout but my brother was there to collect it and he was told it was making a little over 300hp. I did do a few acceleration runs with my then old iPhone 4S and whilst the stock car did 0-60mph in 7.06s it did it in 6.29s chipped. One thing I will say is a first when the car was chipped we had serious problems with the gearbox racing up the gears once it reach 4th it would instantly go 5th, 6th, 7th then 8th within a few seconds. He contracted a Dutch tuner who had done a software fix which cured things though ever so slightly slowed its acceleration back to 6.44s and a ton in 15.8s.
