This car is nowhere marketed as the ultimate M, you're reaching with subjective conclusions.
But I am not here to defend the turd, so feel free to make the situation look worse than it is.
And the G wagon (like the Defender) exist because of their acclaimed history. If BMW were to do a true off-road car, they would be better of to create something like Toyota does, imho. I'd love to see it.. Something capable for when the world ends and roads crumble.
I mean, something like a Toyota Land Cruiser, G Class or Defender would not be a luxury after a bit of rain in LA, LOL:
On the plus side for the XM.... I guess it stays where it's parked no matter what landslide comes its way.
