Looks like a modern American muscle car but I like it :usa7uh:

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

I didný know where to post this, so I think that as it is some kind of 6er mod (PS) may be this was the right place:

I think it has nothing to do with the next 6er since it seems F13 will have the front end with CS design cues, not M1 ones.

Nice anyway!

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

I love the M1 Headlights - Grill treatment.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

So the Supersport will have an entirely redesigned front fascia?

There are several ideas under consideration ... the final design isn't chosen yet. I guess it will be when the car gets final green light in the next months.

The next 3er is considered to feature some M1 Hommage fascia cues ... if the design is chosen for production. I was told 3 design proposals are still the game. Currently 1:1 clay models are being built. The final design will be chosen in the Spring.

What design cues? How are the other designs?.

I guess the fascia - the "hidden" headlight feature ala Alfa Romeo. Or the kidney grille design. :t-hands:

I have no idea what the other designs are. But usually the final designs aren't too different in the core. Different interpretations of the same question. We're talking details here. The proportions are set by marketing & engineering department ... way earlier.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

I just saw this in my previous post:
BMW F12C - (2011) X4 Series Convertible/Coupé
X series CC?!?!?!

Anybody know what it is?!

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

I´m very excited about the next 6er, the current car is a good start, but the front looks weird, and it has some E65 indluences, like the rear and the side profile and character line wich doesn´t convince me at all.

But having in mind how good is BMW doing with the new designs, I have no doubt that the next 6er will look damm good, I would only ask for a CS based front.

F12 = 6er coupe
F13 = 6er cabrio
F14 = 6er 4dr coupe - there was an idea years ago to make a 4dr 6er with a door solution similar to Mazda RX-8.

The F12 platform is made to be able to carry F14 body if needed. Perhaps now when CS is canceled the F14 project will be revived. Who knows ...

Also an interesting fact: just like F10 also the 6er chassis is now designed to offer xDrive. I guess mainly due possible AWD model F14 - if ever offered.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

F14 could be interesting... While I liked concept CS, it was too big for me; 6er dimensions are more palatable.

BMW should do something with the CS Concept, and I think, that it will be reality soon. Yes, I know they had cancelled it, but this "4-door coupe shape" is going to be the "trend" these days. Just check out others' new models: The Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide, Lamborghini Estoque, Audi A7 (which is revealed as a concept yesterday), the Mercedes CLS, VW Passat CC...
...and those guys in Munich know about it. Hope they'll find the way to produce a CS-like car.

No. No. We want the CS itself !!!! It has the best shape of the bunch - a dream car indeed.

The economical crisis will end someday, like all crisis ends. I hope by then the design wouldn't be dated. why can't BMW understand that ???

The CS is IMO more important than another version of the next 6.

I thought 2012 3-series is F35
F05 - ? - PAS 3GT?
F06 - ?
F07 - PAS - 5GT
F08 - ?
F09 - ?

I fail to see the point of these last PS jobs, since they couldn't be further from reality.
Also, they resemble a Dodge/Chevy way too much.
