As a coupe, the new 6 series should be absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Far, far better than the cabriolet.

I for one am hoping that the upcoming 4 door Gran Coupe will be at least equally as stunning.

Speaking of which:

Shouldn't we be seeing the first photographs of the camoflagued Gran Coupe testing on Bavarian roads shortly ?

Helloo. This is the first BMW that actually brings back some heritage to me in sometime. Even the beautiful F10 doesn't really link to my past BMW emotions like newer Mercedes models do.

Now looking at this, I get some of those memories of when I was a young kid, dreaming of BMW's that would drive by, such as the original 6'er, and even later, pre-Bangle-era models.

You know, I understand your feeling and I agree. I have always loved BMW, even when their designs went astray, in my opinion, and broke with what I knew as BMW or what I had come to accept as BMW. This really brings it back to when I was younger and used to dream about BMW and having one one day.
