Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Very impressive but sadly it's from an internship, Hussein is it you ? And btw why are they testing cab before coupe ?

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Coupe is also on the streets , they just have to look harder.

Would you object to the car if there are simularities to the design?
Before me and eni have said a very evolutionary approach to the next 6er and the good thing is the designers know exactly where to take this car and not completely alienate the 6er customer base with something more dramatic .

The engineers also benefit from each second generation model too.
They know what works and where improvements can and will be made
now that the first generation has tested the water.

With the first generation or in the case of the current car the hiatus of the first generation the E24 allowed some space to devise something that unfortuantely did not take over the mantle of the E24, that of course is the E31 otherwise known as the 8er , I guess marketing had dreams of matching the SL-Klasse in all it's premium glory with plans for a 8er Cabrio and repective M Variant , both which remain in BMW's Mobile Tradition collection to this day.

The dream became reality with the introduction of the 6er in 2003 and has been a successful new model introduction for BMW.
The new 6er will be a very exciting car to look forward to and BMW expect many repeat customers from the current model to the next generation as customers appreciate the exclusivity and sporting nature of the BMW 6er.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

You can tell this car is giong to be something to look at in person. Just look at the proportions.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Look at how swept-back the windshield is! Seems like they designed the next 6er to be very sleek.

Can't gather much else about the car except proportions, which look very promising at this stage. :)

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

If that is it (which does not seem far away from the spyshots), then it is redciulously booooring ... are you listening BMW ?

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Yep im surprised how similar it looks to the spy shots..

Ohh and yes..not good enough..
not even near

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

This just can´t be near, is incredibly bland and boring.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

We all know it's a crap PS, no need to worry and frankily speaking the proportions on the spypics look already megahot.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Isn't that what evryone said about the F01 7 Series. :t-hands:

The F01 can be bland in some areas like the front end, but in other it is a very beautiful car, with an incredibly nice rear end, and a very good profile. But this PS is just horrible.

I didn´t know anything about the new 6er, because very details have been given by BMW or Eni and Scott, but it seems like some people know that the car will be a "classic" coupe, so I don´t know what means that, only hope it doesn´t mean balnd anywhere.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

The new 6er is a evolutionary interpretation of the E63/E64 programme , So some details remain familiar but executed with a modern approach to current BMW design as seen with the 7er.

The front end for example if you look at the F01 from side on you see the front lamps set back in the front wings giving a sporting look.
In the 6er the lights are set back further into the front wings completing a dynamic sporting style which indicates this will be a very sporting and dynamic car.

And the precentage wise count of the above image? 23%.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

What about the bangle butt ? Will it remain ?

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

If you look at the 7er you can see the "Adrian Van Hooydunk" styled clamshell trunk in the way the line that crosses the door handles curves into the rear lights . Although it is not as bulky as the previous generation 7er with a better resolved trunk lid but you can see that family resemblence in the way the line curves into the lights. imitating the line where the E65 curves down as indeed the 6er with the trunk lid placed on top.

The 6er will also inherit this F01 design feature but a previous huckfeldt image of a 6er Coupe (proposed 4 dr model) featured the rear end you will see . which clearly shows the evolutionary path the 6er will take.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

I didný know where to post this, so I think that as it is some kind of 6er mod (PS) may be this was the right place:

I think it has nothing to do with the next 6er since it seems F13 will have the front end with CS design cues, not M1 ones.

Re: F13 BMW 6er (Spy Pics, Info & Impressions)

Interesting. It looks more like 1er Supersports than the new 6er. :D

Mind some design cues used on M1 Hommage will be brought into reality in the not so distant future ... :usa7uh:

So the Supersport will have an entirely redesigned front fascia?
