The Mercedes-Benz W205 is the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class which was produced by Daimler AG between 2014 and 2021. The W205 C-Class was preceded by the W204 C-Class and superseded by the W206 C-Class. The fourth-generation C-Class was available in sedan (W205), station wagon/estate (S205), coupe (C205), cabriolet (A205) and long-wheelbase sedan (V205) body styles.

The screen looks like a knock off iPad and the first generation one at that. That is my issue. I would have just rather something less "iPad". Something like the A8 Nav would have worked for me.

It's just seems more elegant and sophisticated.

By the way, can the screen be twisted at an angle toward the driver ?

Ιn the "BMW AG: What's next" thread we see that BMW experiments with new weird models, like a 18 year old experiments with sex during a college fraternity party. Sorry, but BMW seems lost while MB is about to unveil a new C-Class that's the epitome of what MB stands for.

And I already sense the off-topic bunch of posts about to start :D

That's an interesting Metaphor on how you compare the "weird experiments" with the BMW niche models. But in this day and age , who are queuing up for their equivalent of " Sloppy Seconds" after the experiment has worked?

very nice interior. best in class. but it dont have its own steyl. air vents (ferrari, alfa romeo), speedometers (alfa romeo), upper part od dashboard (porsche panamera).

Whats the hold up?
You can't show a stunning interior like that without showing us the exterior. Perhaps MB is more proud of the interior than the exterior?

I suspect we're not going to see the exterior for quite some time. The supposed "release" this week I'm guessing was the interior. The S-Class interior was shown long before the exterior too.

Yeah that will likely be the case. They got their big splash so that it for now IMO. The S65 AMG and whatever else they're going to debut for the L.A. auto show will be what they show next. C-Class won't step back into the spotlight until after the LA show is over, so figure like early Dec before we see the rest of the car, IMO.

S-Class interior debut: 18/03/2013
S-Class exterior reveal: 15/05/2013

Following this logic the C-Class exterior should be revealed on the third week of December. Between the 16th and the 20th.

from the first photos it did not look like it, but the central console is huge and really wide
Actually doubt the console is that much wider. The way the center stack flows into the center console, combined with a higher console, as well as extending the wood trim further to the edge, gives a large appearance. The current C has the stack and the console meet at a 90 degree angle. And there is about an inch on each side of the radio and climate units.

Hartmut Sinkwitz, Chief Center Interior Design

Well done, Herr Sinkwitz, well done.

I thought I was going to be majorly disappointed with the interior, especially with the spy pics that were released, I really was prepared to be let down. This was quite the surprise.

Now I am one of the biggest opponents for a free-standing screen and prefer a more integrated approach, but I do see merit in doing an integrated screen. For one, you do have better outside visibility without having an extended dash to house an integrated screen. Another is that it might make switching a screen out easier if it were damaged or if an option to upgrade is available in the future. I imagine they want to avoid the issue that happened with the pre-FL W204 and thus, not have an issue with quality or reliability.

That last pic makes the interior even more spectacular. If this trends continue with the W213 E-Class, I do think we have a leading design theme here.

I thought the new C will get the largest screen in his class. Anywhere I have read the screen will have 8,4 inches. That would be smaller as the F30-screen with 8,8 inches. Or I´m wrong with my informations?
