I will try clear it all up.
1. I should not have quoted nor involved Merc1.
2. HoH and Shakal responded in such a way they got how I *interpreted (*key word here) it all.
Interpretation and opinionated thoughts that leads to a comment/post in Social Networking is or can be either understood they way it was brought on or then the opposite, at being confusing or lost in translation.
Getting ones point through to others, telling it how you feel/read the post is/can be difficult if that person(s) on the receiving side really does not grasp whats going on your your head or how you would like to think he/she is interpreting your thought/opinion etc.
You as Betty is IMHO a very accurate, to the T, type of person. You need the precise logic in a post. Hence what IMO your profession as a Air Traffic Controller certainly demands of you. Thing is your profession has overcome the burdens of making sense out of chaos and overcoming the International Language barrier etc. You have strict to the book communicating methods of Calling Codes etc. etc. I honestly wish we could have the same order and precision on a public forum, yet the is impossible as we are opinionated, non-restricted single individuals with "minds of our own" - (some including myself) may have to have that mind examined some times
Back to the topic:
*BMW's new numbering of their automotive ranges makes sense
to me in a mathematical order of the plain and simple: 1 ser; 2 ser; 3 ser; 4 ser; 5 ser; 6 ser; 7 ser (1-2-3-4-5-6-7)
*I never expected nor was any expectations created that the BMW 4-series is going to be a sudden absolute and totally different car/product in looks, drive train, setup, practicality etc. to the previous generation of BMW 3-Series coupes and cabriolets.
*The 4 Series make sense (again to me) as a number that tells me in a normal understandable and perfect legit way that this the BMW 4-Series is
Nothing more and also
Nothing less than the F30 BMW 3-Series sedans extension into broadening the Famous and absolutely Brilliant (IMO) Iconic - BMW 3 Series - Coupe and Cabriolet - as was always the case with previous generation 3er coupes and cabrio's.
I was used to it as being just so and frankly BMW did not and can not by changing a Number from 3 to 4 never, ever convince anyone that it's suddenly out of the blue a NEW segment - BS! (If they- BMW- thought it was)
