They put the light switch on the door because it is more visible-but on the new EQE IT HAS REMARRIED ON LOW-I know you just have to place it on automatic but it's so nice to have something manual to touch

I apologize for the movie but at some point in the video you can see that the driver gets out of the car and leaves the door open for a moment and you can see the lights command positioned on low

It looks like the EQE is considerably shorter than the S-class with a higher notchback boot and shorter rear overhangs. It also has a more rounder green house and steeply raked front windshield and rear window

I noticed the EQE has round vents in the interior

this looks more European than w223:cry:

I find it looking very good, eventhough the photos are not professional. The front will be majestic and imposing, I do not even mind the back, it turned out better than I feared, it will be more dynamic than before. After 30 years the S class is returning to rear split lights. What could they do about the interior, the technology is really flying past so they could either stay put or move and they moved. So far I find it looking quite good, at least they elaborated some ideas from their visions. It is quite a big break from the w222 which was really splendid, it is much more restrained, but you have to move on and I think they are going back to their past, the interiors were mostly restrained all of their history. The only fear give me the doors and inlays in them including the seat controls. And do not forget what waits under the metal. The technology will be monumental, just think only about the 4 ws. And the whinging about one sausage in more sizes. Just remember the most iconic of them all - w126, w124 and w201, even their interiors were very similar including all of the switchgear. Every coin has two faces - you can either talk about brand identity or the absence of imagination, laziness and cost cutting.

They get away with far worse.
My skid mark undies were stolen last year and now I see they selling the collection in H & M!! It’s the new brown stripe collection.

I still find it hard to believe the W222 is now 7 years old. It hasn’t dated at all and still looks fresh. The new W223 has some very big shoes to step into to replace this legend.

Oh man.. that was one epic launch.. i still remember I kept myself awake till late night (in India) to witness the live launch. What a grand welcome the legend had with the whole line up from A-class to G-wagon. Simply Wow. Dr. Z’s pristine presentation and the amazing music. Still remember like it happened yesterday.

Sad part is that, W223 launch will be contradict to that, due to this Covid situation it’ll mostly be mostly a digital launch.

What a memorable day and a memorable car probably or arguably the best S class of all time saying that and seeing the new w213 I can say the pre facelift does seem to have aged a bit compared to the w223..just my opinion.

I think once we all the the W223 in real ita going to be another Winner S class.

The early model W222s still retain that presence and grace on the road as we expect 7 years later. Even the mon sport pkg spec modes look nice. As for the interior I will say some elements of the interior most notably the 2 spoke steering wheel and COMAND interface looks a little dated.
