Best, most funny thread on GCF.

Oh, what a joy to see th...

Although it's on fire. But just look at how those V shaped headlights surround the V shaped grille.
It looks far much better then the new lozenge headlights that have infected the whole range. They detract from the current model's more dynamic looking shape which flows better.

Other than the dropping line, and the not to to every taste but still fine made interior, the W222 was and is a very nice luxury sedan. The new W223 is a joke. Even the Chryslerati Quattroporte is better in/out. Image is representative of S Class fall because of this joke W223.

Cadillac? What's with this thread derailment?

I think it's important we compare it to the other major players in this segment...

How is it really with this S class from photos, is this copy actually stolen?
I am looking for information on the internet and I can't find anything.

I think it`s safe to say that with such a tremendous leak, the car is max 2 months away from being revealed to us.
My 2 cents: front is too bland, headlights aren`t striking at all, the car doesn`t look agressive nor has the feeling of sublime luxury like the W220 and W221 had. Regarding the rear, I am not amazed but I like it because it`s daring and something new for the S, I kinda think that it could`ve become too boring to have vertical tailights 5 times consecutive so I am alright plus it looks a little agressive and I`ve missed that look in an S class. The interior is a huge departure from what we got used on the S class models and obvious when an automaker take this step people tend to criticize since they are used to a norm almost. I like how we feared about the center console with that huge screen and I think that we shouldn`t as it`s not looking bad. I like the air vents but I miss the clock. Now, that tablet in front of the driver is what concerns me because as we see in the photos it looks awful. I do hope that it can go onto the dashboard since it`s not covered by leather material and it simply stays there. Overall I rate this 7.5- I think that this will be the most controversial S class in history but I have hope that it`s the E60 of Mercedes because at the launch everybody bashed the E60 and were missing the E39 but 16 years it has aged amazingly well because it was so ahead of its time.
I think that this car still can impress us at its launch.

4. The overall design seem very homogenized with the rest of the lineup which sucks for S class owners because there has always been levels to this shit. If I’m paying 170k for a S class it should have any design cues with a 60k E class. The W213 was like a sportier younger brother to the 222 now it

Forget the E class, the interior is taking design cues from the A class with that horrible stuck on ipad behind the steering wheel. In fact the A class has a more luxurious vibe then this leaked interior, I'm flabbergasted.

Haven visually digested the Dash design, I am sitting here thinking this interior with its progressive sharp edges and minimalistic details with very few buttons, is reminiscent of a futuristic jet fighter. It almost comes across as too aggressive, Like something one would find in the next Batmobile. The interior design with its elongated hvac supply vents and bold features would have been an almost perfect match for the 2005 Maybach Exelero. The Exelero exterior design is probably what inspired those interior features.

It seems to me that this display in front of the steering wheel can be electrically hidden into the gap behind it. Because such an empty space, for which it would be needed.

Honestly if you put a Toyota badge on it, it would look alm...

When I look at the rear end of new S-Class, then I would say that it is pretty much in line with other and newer MB products(Whether people like the design or hate it is a different question):

Overall shape of the W223 is basically a smoother and rounder progression of the W222 rear.

The full-width chrome strip that runs below the star emblem and above the tail lights can be also found on the GLS:

The horizontal tail lights of the W223 look very sharp and I personally think they match the headlight design very well.
