Why do they have to hype it so much?
If they fail to deliver THE BEST after that video... it's going to be the same story as with Zetsche conquering the Universe till 2015.
I'm sure it's gonna be a blast to drive and hopefully to look at but...

^if the SLS and SLS BS is something to go by..it will be pretty damn special..

So hype it! we love the hype :)

There's not a single chance it won't be special I just don't like this cocky way of marketing.
They don't promise Special... they promise THE BEST. I'm glad they did... hehe

Rule number one of marketing, believe in your product. If you don't believe in your product, then others won't either. Hype the product, make people excited, just don't go overboard. This is MBZ just giving the people who will be buying the car a 'taste' without going overboard.

First look at the 4.0liter Bi-Turbo V8. (cannot wait for the debut)
Shame there will not be a roadster.

I don't believe Mercedes about there not being a roadster. Mercedes is a convertible expert and they're expanding the line (C, S, etc). I bet they will do one at some point.

I can't wait for this car to come out, a new Mercedes Benz sports car is always a special event and looking at AMG's current form I don't doubt that this car will be excellent, the SLS was a big hit when it came out and this car I am sure will only improve on that. I can only hope that the car does look breathtaking and beautiful like they are hyping all along. I am sure looking forward to reading about the initial specs on the new 4.0ltr Twin Turbo V8 and also the weight of the car, lets hope that is is at least 500PS and less than 1500kg.

Ah, great, a big fat piece of black plastic.

Martin I really don't understand why all the car makers, including BMW M and AMG seem to hide their engines with a bland plastic cover. I remember in the 90's Alfa Romeo were always praised for exposing their engines intake manifolds and chroming them making their engines a beautiful site to see. It is wonderful to see the mechanical's behind those ugly plastic covers. In the 80's BMW and Porsche used to have wonderful looking engines, remember the lovely scorpion shaped intakes of the 928S and the intakes of the M30/M90 straight six BMW engines, those were the good days for sure. Not too mention the throttle butterflies for the E28 M5 wonderful straight six.

I think they went overboard. Let's wait and see :)

Remember the conversation Chris Harris had with AMG engineers:)
I've never heard normally modest engineers so bullish about a car. They asked me about the F-Type Coupe, politely listened to my positive comments then, fit to burst, kept saying "Wait 'til you drive the GT, just wait 'til you drive the GT." Ready when you are chaps. That goes for the C63, which I'm told is a complete weapon.

I am loving what little we see of the rear, not so sure about the looong nose.
