In a separate thread in which it deserves to be in, just like the formerly mentioned threads. It's no problem really, I can stop posting since I seem to post so many repeats anyway.

Since we have a separate thread for eg normal 3er and M3 spyshots, it does make sense to have a different thread for the AMG version of the A-Class. After all it's a new AMG.

So, let's stop whinning and focus on the A25 AMG. I'll move all the posts about the A25 AMG from the other A-Class thread into this one, later.

New details are starting to emerge about the Mercedes A-Class AMG.
According to Autocar, the model will be called the A45 AMG and feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with special cylinder heads, a unique induction system and various other modifications. Thanks to these tweaks, the mill - dubbed the M270 Evo - is expected to produce 330 hp (246 kW / 335 PS) and "significantly" more than 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. As AMG's head of development, Tobias Moers, explained "Our goal right from the start was to match the output of the larger turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine used by the [Audi] RS3."
The engine will be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to a rear-biased all-wheel drive system. This could enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
Besides boasting an aggressive body kit, the car is slated to feature a revised suspension with a wider track, stiffer springs / dampers, thicker anti-roll bars and a reduced ride height. We can also expect a revised electro-mechanical power steering system and high-performance brakes.
The model could be launched early next year, so look for an official unveiling in the coming months

Looking really fantastic! I can't be sure until it is released and reviewed but Mercedes seems to have nailed the new A-Class range, and this will really be good for their sales. (Wish I could say the same about the C-Class, but at least the new facelift one isn't bad.)

I'm a really big fan of the modern Mercs. Very impressed with many of the cars post 2007. Very much looking forward to more details of this A45, could very well end up replacing the 1M.

It's stupid all this concept or idea of a 370hp 4wd hatchback from MB.

First of all, look at all this power from a 2.0lt engine. This is Mitshubishi Evo territory and I guess it's well known how reliable those engines are. This is too much hp/lt to be sane. The with all that power, Mitshubishi and Subaru have the descency to offer an adaptive AWD system, actually both manufacturers have two of the most advanced AWD systems in the world. Now, what is this in the A25/45 AMG? I guess that the existance of turbo lag is not a surprising thing, and all these combined with Merc's typical steering systems (unless they go for the one of the C63/E63) won't make driving this car quite an experience.
