^I wouldn't worry about steering feel considering all the kudos new AMGs have been getting about it. Turbo lag on the other hand could be an issue with 370 HP from 2l, with what look like one big turbo.

Hey wookiecrisp whats you feel wrong with the C class in my view its a Awesome little Mercedes...

I like the C-Class a lot, I think it looks great and the new one has a quality interior. What I mean to say was, in terms of sales, the 3-series blows away the C-Class. The new A-Class is an opportunity for Merc to seize a segment of the car industry that will promise them a lot of sales - something the C-Class, however nice a car it is, has not done.

The 3-Series should blow away the C-Class in sales, it has more variants. The 3-Series outsells everything else in the segment because of this. Really doesn't say much other than obviously what it should do. The C-Class is second in the segment, at least in the U.S. and has been a huge success so I'm not sure what you're talking about it not having done anything.

The C-Class sells TOO much as far as I'm concerned. Enough so that it singlehandedly normalizes the M-B design language as you see it everywhere. I don't think M-B are seeing it as anything near a "failure" simply because it hasn't been able to dethrone the originator of that market approach to that segment, not to mention, the car that accounts for the MAJORITY of BMW sales.

Also, the 3 Coupe has always been a big seller, and is factored into 3-Sales, while the C has always had 4 door variants.

This may be a little off-topic, but is it me or can one see that the next generation S-Class coupe(C222?) might be one of those in sheets? It's pretty obvious both the W221 and the W222(top, farthest right in sheets) are shown together, so why not the current CL and 2014 S-Class coupe(again in sheets)?

Thanks! I guess I'm wrong as all of these seem to be too short or too upright to be an S-Class coupe. Number 4 & 5 are the most obvious being both the GLK AMG and the A45. Number 3 might be the B-Class, number 1 is the SLC, 2 could be the facelifted E coupe, behind the W222 is the CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake, and behind it the E63 facelift.

Mercedes surprised us a little with this one. Benz currently offers the E63 in sedan and wagon form, so it does make some sense to round out the lineup with an AMG E coupe. Shock or not, the E63 coupe almost assuredly will have the same twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 that powers the four- and five-door E63 models. This car almost definitely will be available at American dealers.
