Its not bad, but it won't scare the 5, A6 or E in terms of styling. I'm going to drive it for the hell of it though.

And the shape of the back doors is freaking ugly. Damn.

I do like the interior though. Better than Infiniti I'd say and WAY ahead of Acura. But is it just me, or does it look FAT in the side shots?

Poor design exercise as always with Lexus, a mix of the design elements of their german rivals. Not they got rid of the touch screens in favor of a more conventional controller, like the german ones. The profile trie hard to mimic the sporty E60 one, but it´s far of.

How original.

They've had that for a fair few years.

That front-end looks pretty bad though. The pinched-in grille is...interesting. The rear I can deal with - looks pretty good.

Apparently this is the real deal, spotted in China. It is a huge disappointment if it looks like this, which is basically a mix of the CT 200 and the IS 250.

Ew ew ewwwwww! Here I thought Lexus MIGHT somewhat redeem themselves, and they put out THAT?! The interior looks horrible, like an 80's arcade game trying to look like a newer German car.... And failing miserably, and the rear looks weirdly like a Chevy with that bow-tie looking chamo piece on the deck lidl

As said before: the turned L-finesse into L-mess. Th current GS looks more refined & elegant somehow. This exterior looks kind of vulgar-ish ... yet aggressive.

Regarding the interior: I sense much MB there.

And you can see why the Germans are introducing self-standing stick-out center displays, now when the screens got bigger. To prevent the dash looking like this:

It's massive, it's high ... more appropriate for an SUV than an executive luxury sedan.

Jesus does that interior look like a big crude wannabee refined Atari mess. I don't see much M-B there at all, it just doesn't have that logical "business" statement like approach.

BTW, look at those panel gaps and poor fit on the glove-box! I wonder if it'll be like that on the production car.

You know, I hate to be that additional guy that joins the annoying parade but it is true--this thing hideous and ugly and lacks any sense of ingenuity. I mean, even german cars that are covered up and camoed look waaaaaay better than this. I am sorry but the interior looks cheap and....so unoriginal.


I didn't expect anything else from Lexus, though. For them to be impressive would take additional resources they are not willing to manufacture into the car, unfortunately.


Edit: one more thing


So many people criticize the look of certain german cars. For example, there has been rant (or there was) about the C interior looking to plasticy and cheap. Well, this thing takes the away for looking too plastic. There are parts of that dash that you wonder why they went so plain with plastic and/or why they molded the plastic the way they did. Furthermore, are you kidding me? Are you really putting doors locks lifted from a Toyota with a red tab to indicate the car is not locked? Wow Lexus, talk about touting that you incorporate a lot of technology into a car. Maybe you should consider upgrading/changing those door locks.
