Temerario [2025-] [Spy Shots] Lamborghini Huracan Successor

The Lamborghini Temerario (code name 634) is a mid-engine plug-in hybrid sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Lamborghini. It was officially unveiled on August 16, 2024, replacing the Huracán. This car marks the return of a V8 mid-engined Lamborghini model, the first since the 1981 Lamborghini Jalpa. It is the first turbocharged Lamborghini sports car.

100 more HP than the 296 but it will be 80-100 kg heavier. However I bet also $60k cheaper base price. Could be an amazing thing. 0-200 under 7 seconds not out of realm of possibility but I doubt they advertise that because of the Revuelto. It’s going to be amazing, however. First lambo I’m interested in in some time. My only lambo ownership experience is the Aventador S Roadster which I hated.

I agree on everything you say, minus about the price. In Italy the rumors say that this thing will be more expencive than the 296 base price and 296 overthere, starts at about 292.000 euro including 22% VAT.
I expect this car will not cost less than 320.000 euro in the same market (basic) from what I was told, but the good thing, if this will be happening, is that Lamborghini will have to proove to be better than the 296, to ask that kind of money and this means that it will have to be stellar, or their marketing team will have something to explain, about the extra money that you will be asked to pay compared to the fantastic Ferrari 296.

What did you dislike about it?

The Revuelto is sold out until 2026 and the next variants will be the Spyder, SV etc which will cost more than this base model. Therefore, there's headroom for the price of the Hurecan to be increased.

296 will likely be replaced in 2-3 and be more expensive too or Ferrari will keep the price the same and increase the price of the options.

Not to put words in Jo's mouth but the transmission is diabolical. You have to experience it for yourself - internet vids don't convey the awfulness sufficiently.
The only SMG that I have experienced is in the E46 M3. Is the one in the Aventador worse? If I'm not mistaken it was improved in the SV and SVJ which also have active rear wheel steering.

Hard to say, I drove E46 CSL many years ago and while the shift quality wasn't great, it didn't leave an indelible mark of being horrible like that of Aventador.

Don't know about SV&J - I only ever drove Aventador S Roadster.

Yes, the transmission is awful. But the car is also huge and inspires no confidence to drive. The cabin is so tight as well. Which is very frustrating to have a car be that big with no space. And the only thing people rave about, the sound, I thought was trash. It’s so artificial it’s offensive. Every time you lift off the gas, you get three (clearly ECU programmed) pops. It would maybe be fun on a 15 minute test drive. As for ownership. Awful.

Mine was black. Looked sinister, though. Looks wise, 10. Performance and usability, 3.

And not just aventadors suck. Huracan performante is so tight I literally can’t fit. I’m 6’3 210 not some giant and there is no actual seating position where the wheel isn’t constantly touching my thighs.

Good buddy is a lambo obsessed owner. He’s had many. Picked me up from airport in his Huracan Evo spyder a few months ago. Tight to the point of uselessness. He’s same size as me. No one looked less cool than us getting into and out of this car. He sold it because it’s too small to be usable.

For me Lambo has completely missed the mark for proper sized humans for last decade +.

Have you driven or considered a Urus?

Have you driven or considered a Urus?

yup! Rented one for a month a couple years back when I was staying in Florida during the Covid mania. I liked it. I also owned (until two days ago) a Cayenne Turbo GT which is quite similar to a urus. If I had to only have one vehicle it would be a Urus or Cayenne TGT. Urus if I didn’t have so many employees.

The Urus is like a bug. It’s the type of car that you don’t want to like because it’s an SUV but from what I have read, people take a strong liking to it once they have driven one.

I’m considering a supercar For next year. I would love a two seater but I have kids aged 5 and 7. My girlfriend has 3 kids. I enjoy going to places with the kids and they enjoy going with me. It’s unlikely that I would find many opportunities in the month to schedule alone time with a supercar. Therefore an Urus, or a more politically correct Turbo GT would be great. The Porsche is so stealthy, that your average pedestrian might mistake it for a Macan. de-badge it and you’ll be even more under the radar.

However I’ve recently become an entrepreneur and a supercar like membership at expensive gyms, is a brilliant networking tool. It‘s an invite ticket to events and social circles where you can fundraise, form strategic partnerships of learn. Therefore a supercar could pay for itself even if driven 2-3 times per month.

If you’re looking to be able to get 7 ppl in a vehicle the Urus won’t do.

7 seater Urus?

Kidding aside, we always travel in two cars for practical reasons and will continue to do so. My car hobby ans dreams remain alive.

In the end what I will end up buying will depend on which car I like most or hate the least behind the wheel.

I might even rent a few super cars for 24hours to de-risk the purchase. Some cars require 1hour or two seperate sessions to learn whether the seats, gearbox or infotainment annoy you. *first world problems, I know*.

Some even require weeks or months to fully appreciate them.

Why Urus and not 1/3 of price RS Q8?

The Lamborghini Huracán Successor Will Make Over 887 HP!

CEO Stephan Winkelmann shared a bit more information on the 634's hybrid powertrain!

"The newest Lamborghini—currently known only by its internal 634 code name—will be supremely powerful. We already know the new twin-turbocharged V-8 engine makes 789 horsepower, but the Huracán's replacement will be a hybrid. That means more power will come from electric motors, and Lambo boss Stephan Winkelmann recently hinted at combined output: Over 887 hp.

The CEO recently posted an "official" introduction to the 634 on LinkedIn, where he revealed the system output with the engine and electric motors combined. Sadly, he doesn't share anything beyond that, but it's not a stretch to say the final figure could even exceed 900 hp.

Winkelmann's reveal comes just a few weeks after Lamborghini's official announcement on the V-8. It's a new 4.0-liter mill, though a 3.8-liter version is currently doing racing duty in the SC63 LMDh prototype. The production engine makes its 789 hp by spinning to 10,000 rpm with a flat-plane crank and a race-inspired finger follower valvetrain. Peak power comes in between 9,000 and 9,750 revs, with 538 pound-feet of maximum twist hitting between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm.

There are fewer details on the hybrid portion of this high-performance cocktail. We know it'll be a three-motor system, with one incorporated between the engine and transmission. Details for the other two are unknown, though it's safe to assume they will mounted at the front wheels. Lamborghini doesn't mention electric-only output, but with over 887 hp from everything, basic math suggests the electric components will contribute around 100 hp.

The Huracán successor will debut in August. Don't be surprised if Lamborghini shares a few more teasers between now and then."
