Temerario [2025-] [Spy Shots] Lamborghini Huracan Successor

The Lamborghini Temerario (code name 634) is a mid-engine plug-in hybrid sports car produced by the Italian automobile manufacturer Lamborghini. It was officially unveiled on August 16, 2024, replacing the Huracán. This car marks the return of a V8 mid-engined Lamborghini model, the first since the 1981 Lamborghini Jalpa. It is the first turbocharged Lamborghini sports car.

4.0L V8
Brand new, clean sheet design engine
Hot V turbo charging
Redline: 10,000rpm
789bhp between 9,000 and 9,750rpm
730Nm generated over a plane between 4,000 and 7,000rpm
3 electric motors(Specs TBC)
Evo says 148 bhp from electric motors, that means 926 bhp combined! Whoaaaa 10k RPM redline!

RIP 296 and Artura, if it is under 1900 kg.

An interesting question is whether the engine will be avaiable in the Urus successor.

OK, this just got interesting. That engine is very spicy!

I dunno why, but I was expecting Lambo to copy Ferrari's 120° wide V setup. In my mind, it would make for a more natural fit with that transverse DCT.
I guess 90° hot vee is the more universal solution to be used on other platforms, Urus included.
Theoretically you could build an aero car with large venturi tunnels around this engine, provided that you pair it with longitudinal transmission.

Here's a SC63's V8 for WEC. It doesn't seem like they're sharing any parts.

Also, my eyes spy 992 GT3 rear calipers and rotors.
Please, let this be part of a tech exchange deal between the two companies, with Lamborghini contributing their dynamically adjustable camber and toe wheel hub technology. I want to see that tech in 992.2 RS!

Nice specs (kinda)... but it seems we are back to the junior Lamborghini supercar being faster on track AND in straight line, than the senior one.

The current Huracan is around 1550-1600kg... I wonder how heavy this car will be.

Also, yeah, looking at the engines, the new one and the one from the WEC car, they don't seem to share anything, not even the block. That's despite Lamborghini mentioning that they are related a few months back (or at least it was reported that they did).

I tried looking for a propshaft heading to the front axle but it's unclear to me. Probably still mechanical AWD.

Haven't they already said that there will be two e-motors up front, same as on the Revuelto? Either way, mechanical AWD seems impossible if they are reusing the Revuelto gearbox.

I am very excited about this engine specs and the 10000RPM red line. I would love to know the turbo boost bar value as the torque output doesn't seem that impressive for a turbo 4ltr V8 at 730nm when AMG/Bentley are getting 900nm from their 4ltr V8's but I presume the engine itself is generating most of the output and the turbos are providing the low down torque and the boost could be maybe less than 1bar.

They only seemed to mention one electric motor in P1 position attached to the gearbox with 110kw (150PS) and 300nm of torque. Wonder then if the Huracan replacement will be RWD, but then there could be more details coming later revealing if additional axial flux motors are mounted up front.

Strange thing that if this engine makes 800PS its only 25PS less than the NA V12 in the Revuelto combined with 110kw P1 electric motor could realize a combined output of 900PS only 115PS less than its big brother.

If you zoom in on that video, you can see the CV joint axles on the front. Unless it's a steering rack, which I doubt. That would have way different size and shape of the rubber boots.

I would love to see a RWD version of this. It'd be kind of like a 296GTB with the power of a SF90 🔥

Imagine if they will introduce not only that engine but even this crazy innovation in the Temerario...

Not that much analysis on the new engine in this, but the video does point out some flaws with the outgoing V10. I had no idea they had these long-stroke related problems.
