The Lamborghini Aventador is a mid-engine, two passenger sports car manufactured from 2011 until 2022. Named after a prominent Spanish fighting bull that fought in Zaragoza, Aragón, in 1993, the Aventador succeeded the Murciélago and was manufactured in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.

Will cost more than the $493,069
Lamborghini has officially announced the Aventador Superveloce Roadster will receive its world premiere on August 14.

It will be shown during a press conference at "The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering" next Friday when Lamborghini will also disclose details about specifications, price and availability. Unlike the coupe which was offered in 600 units, the open-top version will be even more exclusive as just 500 cars are planned at a price tag significantly higher than its fixed-roof sibling which in United States carried a starting price of $ $493,069 (€327,190 in Europe). We are certain Lamborghini won't have any problems selling all cars taking into account the coupe reached sold out status in only three months after its official reveal.

Although it will be a tad heavier, the roadster is expected to offer just about the same performances of the coupe which needs only 2.8 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and can hit a top speed of more than 217 mph (350 km/h). It will carry over the V12 6.5-liter naturally aspirated engine pushing out a massive 750 PS (552 kW) at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm (510 lb-ft) at 5,500 rpm.

There's still no official word about the HyperVeloce which rumors say will be unveiled at the same event with a 800 PS (588 kW) output coming from an uprated V12 6.5-liter engine. Lamborghini apparently has plans to sell 20 coupes and 10 roadsters, obviously at a much bigger price tag compared to the "lesser" Aventador SV models.
