M3/M4 [Spy Shots] BMW M3 & M4 (G80/G82/G83)

The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. As part of the renumbering that splits the coupé and convertible variants of the 3 Series into the 4 Series, the M4 replaced those variants of the BMW M3. Official website: BMW M

My fault! Sorry @martinbo for the confusion! At one pic I thought I could see some steel part ending in the rear diff. But it was a part of the tow truck I think :banghead:
Ok. So there is still hope for a cfrp propshaft!
No problem from my side. It's just better that we not jump to conclusions just yet. ;)

wow, that massive kidney grille is going to be, gently put, very polarizing.

I am all for it. The G20 front end is pleasant but conservative evolution of the F30. Furthermore I find recent M cars e.g. X3M and M5 not differentiated enough from the M-a Sport variants.

I am ready for more visual drama at the nose.

Well you can think that, but the facts say something else really. The M5 has always been an M sport with more exhausts.

Added note in the original post from the spyshots, trailer ramp in last few undercarriage views, not steel shaft.

On rear bumper design language compared to previous gen M3. Side intakes had similar deep recess as shown in M8. Wonder if they're functional or just with reflectors?

Most likely not functional.

It's just a hydraulic cylinder of the trailer, the prop shaft is above the exhaust pipes and not under them. I am very curious if the ribbed housing in the center of the car is the one of the 8 speed ZF auto or the Magna transfer case (AWD).

I am too, but I am nervous with what the outcome will be. :eusa_shif:nailbiting:

Yes. I agree. Very much proven by the amount of Teslas who have became self-aware and want to kill their owners. Some of them have actually succeeded.
Level 3 or higher autonomous driving will never work unless car manufactures are willing to share liabilities with auto insurance companies, which no auto manufacture would do. Speaking of which, we can almost foresee as auto manufactures rolling out new model claiming level 3+ self-aware driving, expect auto insurance premium to skyrocket.

With G80, I'd rather enjoy full control driving experience of my own.

Yes. You can see the driver was protecting the graphic on the screen other than the actual interior.:D

What about break system of this mule? Front caliper is yellow an therefore reminds me of the golden CCB of the F8x. Even the disc from its size/color shade could be CCB, but the caliper seems much smaller compared to F8x CCB. So 4 pot steel brake and just color misleading me?

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
