It looks like Autobild has lost its access to internal info from BMW. Publicating an year old info originating from ynguldyn doesn't improve their credibility.

also they didn't publish anything about the next gen event. Does anyone know if they haven't been invited or what's the reason for them not posting any articles on it?

BMW has yet another difficult act to follow. The F32 4 series coupe is one of BMWs' most attractive coupes ever. Still absolutely gorgeous, still so very fresh after several years on the market.

Agree. As a 4 series owner I still think it’s a design that will stand its test against time. Beautiful!

So? An X7 and a 4er are two different cars. Last I checked, one is a 2-door coupe the other is a 7 passenger SU....ahem, "SAV." At least there'd be through lone when it comes to familial resemblance.

The biggest difference in the layout (despite being almost the same), marks a detail as subtle as important and key at the same time, and is the black background between / behind the lights and the kidneys, like e21, e30 , and many others that we like so much.
Hopefully they will use it now that with the new technology shown in the M Vision concept (laser light threads), not only would they work as "angel eyes" but as the light itself, allowing the black background behind them, just like this CSL concept has.

They are moving away from the organic looking elements and phasing in a technical look. Surfaces will be crisper,lines more sharper and definition much more muscular.
The kidney Grille on THE 4 is more octangular than before.

Yep, this front end is the wet dream of every BMW hater.

No wonder this won't live past the facelift.

I seem to be in the minority but after looking at the renders for a bit I already quite like that frond end. I think it just needs some getting used to, like the big grille on the X7.
