The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, developed by BMW's in-house motorsport division, BMW M GmbH. M3 models have been produced for every generation of 3 Series since the E30 M3 was introduced in 1986. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. You don't need to be an "insider" to know the new M3 and M4 are about to re-imagine ugliness.
That said... you don't buy a BMW for its looks that's for sure. Hope it's at least decent to drive.
 
Imagine a BMW fan being forced to go to a competitor because of a face only a mother could love. #BeaverLeaver?
 
I have high hopes that the car will beautiful, as with the F32 and E92.

They always seem to nail the mid-size coupe.

My only doubt and issue is the existence of the F40 1er.

If BMW board members approved that front end who knows what they could have potentially approved here....

The grill is ugly as f€#k and the intakes way overdone but otherwise it looks good. It will get slated by all journalists and get a FL after 2years lol

I meant that you would like it for sure. Not sure how can I have a fanboy dream about a car being ugly. It it is quite funny you call anyone a fanboy.
 
Keeping my expectations low for how this grille turns out, that way I won't be too disappointed if it's just ghastly. And if it's a looker, then it'll be like the C8 Corvette all over again and I'll be pleasantly surprised. As Homer Simpson has taught me, keep you expectations so low, and you'll never be disappointed!

If it's like the Coupe It should be fine. My concern is now that the central "mouth" intake has been replaced by the tall Grille. What they do to compensate the brake cooling intakes and air curtains? Will these be considerably larger?

Whats fanboyish about my comments or opinion on a cars styling, if I truly think its ugly what is wrong with that? The final product will hopefully look better, but at the moment I am sticking with my comment. I personally am a big fan of BMW, I owned 2 previous 3-series models (E30 and E90) and have fond childhood memories of many family friends cars such as the 635CSI, 745i and 333i/325iS models and later M3 models etc.
 
You know what.. f!ck it, good on 'em for going big on this one and making a statement! Too many cars all looking the same these days. Let's see if BMW/M can get the design execution & details right to make it work.
BMW have built up to this grille by getting everyone accustomed to the big grille on the X3, X5 and X7.

This "Captain Germany" of a shield on the new M3 and M5 will feel like a natural next step.

I don't think any render has nailed the execution of it. Initially I was appaled by the idea of it but am now convinced that it will suit the car.
