7 Series (G11) [Spy Shots] BMW G11/G12 LCI in the works...

The BMW G11 is the sixth generation of the BMW 7 Series, produced from 2015 to 2022. Model codes: G11 (short-wheelbase version), and G12 (long-wheelbase version) luxury saloons, collectively referred to as the G11. Production: July 2015–2022. Model years: 2016–2022.
I still don't get why they didn't do anything (almost) to the interior. As far as I know about customer data in that segment, there would have been a big opportunity there.

I was expecting BMW to put the new "diamond/laser cut" air flow, temp & radio buttons. And the new knob + start up removed from the dash. Sigh... The exterior had me so excited (so excited just for LCI lol) but the interior turned me off so much... They did so much on the exterior, but didn't really bother with the interior? Were my expectations too high/unrealistic or?

Never rely on CGI images look how good that bumper looks IRL.

I’m probably in the minority, but I’m glad BMW kept the interior as is ...it’s going to age quite well. I’m not a fan of the look of the new BMW live cockpit.

I am not very fond of the clean, "puristic" approaches to the front end (also seen on the new 3er as well). While elegant and understated, it is a rather minimal design exercise compared to the pre-LCI standard version. I would have rather preferred to see the X7 front end treatment applied to the 7er LCI.

I wonder if the Design Pure Excellence package (if it is retained as an option) will get a more powerful, beefier treatment, while also looking ultra luxurious. Anyway, I will also miss the LED fog lights, even though I know I might in a minority. For me, they were another signature element of the BMW 7 Series, like on mostly any other BMW model.

To me it looks like that is the design pure excellence with all the chrome bits.

Looks like @Centurion wins this round.
I was certain they'd update the interior, but it looks like they couldn't bother.

I understand that they didn't put more money into this. Its a sinking ship with a large nose..lol

At least it gets the new edge instrument cluster and iDrive 8. Overall, the interior is what is expected it to be: Virtually untouched to give the successor room to shine.

I am very glad they didn<t touch the interior. The current interior is great and having more than one interior theme is good.
