They made a good looking car, better looking with the LCI
I am very glad they didn<t touch the interior. The current interior is great and having more than one interior theme is good.
I’m with you.

I must be one of the few that aren't shocked that the interior is the same. You have to draw the line somewhere when its just a refresh, especially when the exterior has undergone such extensive plastic surgery. This isn't much different than what Mercedes did with the W212 E-class and M-class > GLE transition.

That being said, I do feel the interior lags behind in design to its new family members like the X7. Shame that has to be the case for the flagship car.

Except for the steering wheel and the digital screen, there was barely any other changes to the W222. I wasn't going to expect them to incorporate the new HVAC controls as that would lead to more extensive changes around the vents, etc. I expect there will be more leather/trim options, i.e. that blue and white leather combo seen in the X7. But otherwise the interior will still follow the BMW interior ethos.

When is BMW going to to take their fingers out of their asses and fire the f#ck out of their PR idi9ots who are having leak after leak after f#cking leak.

Still undecided about the front. Like the new air dam but on the fence regarding the grille. Everything else is good.

If you sign up to the Press Club you get the updates sometimes a week ahead of schedule. It's in order to meet the publishing deadline for print media. Online media of course has no deadlines.
Each release carries official embargo date. However like other manufacturers there are a lot of online sites who do not stick to embargos. The solution for this is digital watermarks.

And as I mentioned earlier you have employees who take photographs of the cars in secure compounds. When they are forbidden to do so as they are restricted by NDA.

Then you have the markets where previews are leaked because of that dealer-client relationship and then they bring the children who still take pictures when asked not to do so.
Please delete and handover your phone for security does not register with most people.

But when you are the worlds most admired and worshipped brand anything you have is headlines despite it being positive or negative.

Not their fault, they try hard to prevent those, but too many players involved, mistakes happen or simply some people just release them.

It just makes it harder for media that wants to keep the embargo in order to prepare quality articles, only to have to go live earlier with crappy small resolution images.

It is what it is and by now the 7 Series is well known.

So aside from the new gauge cluster and more stitching, did they not touch the interior at all? It's all visually a step behind the X5/7 & 3er, imo.

Why didn't you report on the M8 leak? Or did I miss it?
