A3/S3/RS3 [Spy shots] 2014 Audi A3 Sedan (Spy Photos & Information)

The Audi A3 is a small family car (C-segment) manufactured and marketed by Audi AG since September 1996. The first two generations of the Audi A3 were based on the Volkswagen Group A platform, while the third and fourth generations use the Volkswagen Group MQB platform.
Nothing wrong with the latest A3 when it comes to handling. Trust me :)
Well, I've driven it several times. And as much as the design, and interior quality is amazing, it felt a little dull in the corners. I really hope that the S3 will be fore RWD-biased with its Quattro system. Something like the RS4.

Driving involvement is one thing but the handling already good. Its not the handling Audi need to improve, its the driving experience. Also they need to lower the seat position. Other than that, its a great car.

Cars on MQB platform uses 5 gen Haldex. I think so.
Anyone know what is the different from 4 gen? I am afraid that there is not much difference.

More spypics for the Audi A3 Sedan.

And the more i visit the CLA thread the more I see this A3 sedan that in concept form WOW'd me then, looks bland vs the Benz now. Though i suspect the Audi will be more spacious with a bigger boot. VAG practicality;)

[VIDEO ADDED] Seat design suggests it could be an S3 sedan
Audi has started teasing the A3 Sedanbefore the car gets its online reveal next week.
The Ingolstadt-based automaker is launching a video channel called Audi Media TV and for this occasion they are offering a preview of the long-awaited A3 Sedan which will be revealed on March 27 at 0:01 CET.
Following a concept showcased at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Audi is ready for its production variant which will be a rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLA. Most likely it will be based on the MQB platform and have the following measurements: 4.44 meters long, 1.84 meters wide and 1.39 meters tall.
Engine lineup will be carried over from the regular A3s so we should expect gasoline engines from a 1.2-liter TFSI with 105 HP (77 kW) to a 1.8-liter TFSI with 180 HP (132 kW). There will also be two versions of the 2.0-liter TDI, one with 150 HP (110 kW) and the other with 184 HP (135 kW).
In terms of styling, it will probably look virtually the same as the three-door and five-door Sportback versions, except for the rear end which we assume will take some cues from the concept.

Oh my oh my, I really have high hopes for this car!! It can be a very important car for Audi.
(already imagining a RS3 sedan with a 400hp 2.5TFSI 5 cylinder engine, and the RS design clues)

Ive seen that concept in real life at geneva..

If that's what they bring out.. i must say WOW!

Cause that sh** was stunning!

Presentation of the car will be in NY tomorrow!! Can't wait. Hope they show the S3 Sedan as well.

Great for the industry and us car nuts here at GCF. Hatrick! 3x great concepts, 3x mirror images of those concepts turned production cars. *CLA, *4er coupe and *A3 Sedan - now as a 'collective' great news for German Cars, and the future of the brands we aspire to:cool: Tumbo this was the only German car tribute I could find where the Audi-rings is the largest to be approriate for this thread:)

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
