The new BMW 4 series is the next big thing in the automotive world, just after the S-Class. We are more than excited to see those camouflage-free photos that came up today. The F32 4 Series coupe was obviously being photographed and filmed for the promotion material, which was a great chance for our spy photographers to snap some pics.
What we see is essentially the production version of the 4er Coupe Concept that was unveiled a few months ago. Gone are the flashy front and rear bumpers, which are replaced by the production ones, as do the rear view mirrors. The same "Lines" pattern will be followed with the 4er, so expect to see some minor alteration to the standard bumper (Modern/Luxury line), with the M-Sport bumpers being a bit more different.
Finally, we see an air vent in the front fenders, which was first shown with the 4er Coupe Concept and first adopted in production with the 3GT. These air vents have an aerodynamic function, reducing the turbulence inside the wheel wells, thus increasing the overall aerodynamic efficiency, while managing to look quite nice.
The model photographed should be a 435i judging by the two exhaust tips, one at each side. Engines-wise we are expecting the 35i, 35d and 25d to be available from the beginning, as will probably be the two variations of the N20 2.0l 4 cylinder turbocharged engine, in the forms of 20i and 28i. A bit later, we are hoping for smaller engines to become available, hoping for a 16i and 18i with the N13 1.6l 4 cylinder turbo and a 20d version.
