XM [Rumors] BMW X8 plans

The BMW XM is a full-size automobile manufactured in the United States by German marque BMW since 2022. It is a crossover SUV with a plug-in hybrid electric drivetrain, and is the second car developed entirely by BMW M, after the BMW M1 in 1978. Official website: BMW M

My friend, your knowledge about cars is a bit lacking. That's why you don't understand some things. The S-class coupe is the successor to the CL. The 8 series is the continuation of the 6 series. Only the name has changed
Do you really think I don't know that?

What happens is that you have a biased appreciation of things, reality is different and not yours, the 8 series is more than the 6 series, not only in name.
The CL evolve in the S coupe? Wow
8 series coupe 6,100
S-class coupe 3,200
Bentley Continental 2,800

8 series cabriolet 4,900
Bentley Continental Cabriolet 1,950
S-class cabriolet 1,100
So the 8 series Is the Top Dog

Your beloved S class coupes are currently used for demolition derby

Out of all, there is the power, car chosen for its mass, strength and steal with style?
Holywood sometimes if it's real

Back to XM.
And the disguise is slowly unravelling. The US models reflector is not doing it any favours.

Love the Origami Creases. This trait is also showing on the next M5.

The invitation.

G09 XM 50e (I6 B58+Hybrid ~313-381hp? I've lost track of what they're badging as what, based on G70 perhaps it will be XM 60e?)
G09 XM (V8 S68+Hybrid ~650hp)
G09 XM "Black Label" (V8 S68+Hybrid ~740hp)

Ok so called XM then, but also with B58 and 380 hp. Which makes it really an X8 in all but name.
The more you know, the more retarded it becomes. Interesting.

B58 in this moving house will make it ridiculously underpowered.

Don't underestimate B58! The numbers stated by @Matski seem odd to me. A B58 standalone has already 350+ hp ... and with additional e-motor we talk about system-power north of 450hp and 700 Nm ... that will move an XM chassis even if it has 2,5 to.

But like 5 seconds 0-100? Sure that's not slow by any means, but calling than an X "M"?

It's evident why I mentioned the G-Class if you take the time to read conversation - it's also evident if you take the time to read the conversation that I stated I didn't believe the G-class was specifically the market the XM was targeting. So, I dunno, maybe read the things people say if you want to understand why they are saying them?

I don't think there's been any sign of X8 being used on anything, certainly Horatiu quashed that speculation last year.

I am. Always curious about proper numbers.
The names are a bit off on XM ;)

Man, are you really going to tell anyone else that his opinion is biased? I think I have yet to read you anything close to a critique to BMW. This guy is a troll and we all know it. But it seems to bother you so much because you can't stand anything else than stating BMW is the best on everything. Which is not only biased, but also weirdly childish.

Yeah, I thought it seemed low when I posted it, but it was based on one of BMW's national sites claims for the 50e in the G70. However, the actual press release for the 750e xDrive says that it generates 490hp, which seems far more likely.

?? What are you taking about?
No, not at all, it's just my opinion about that particular comment made by him in particular.

My critics are there, you just have to look for them.

Really? When I look in a sales thread, you will be there arguing why BMW sells more or will sell more (ie 7er vs S-Class). When there is a new BMW launch you will always like the car and when talking about design, there is no such thing that was not introduced on a BMW concept.

So yep, not sure how you can see anyone else as biased here. Honestly. I have said it many times, no one likes trolls here, but blind praise no matter what is not particularly interesting to read either.

I write what I think and always will.
If you don't like what I write, don't read it, save your bile and put me on your ignore list.

Yes, of course. But since we all are adults here, I thought you might want to give it a thought, based on what you were saying to our friend leylandi.

Cheers!

Right, it's no secret that I have great sympathy for the brand.
That in no way makes me less qualified to establish that someone is being biased and using that bias to troll with a comment that is also absurd.

Clarifying, when I talk about sales I always do it with a source, I have always said that the 7 surpassed the S only two years and it was the only one to do so and that it is my wish that this time it surpasses it too.

I unthinkingly prefer an E class to a current 5 series and a C class to a current 3 series.
For example, I never once said that the iX was cute.
The concept thing is very real, the R&D in brand design and the premium ones in general are taken advantage of to a greater or lesser extent by many brands that follow trends and sales successes and I mean many, just as BMW steals details from others. like Ferrari, like the gill in the profile of the Z4.

In general, I try to speak the truth and clarify the mostly absurd attacks due to ignorance and the trolls that nauseate the forum, I use the forum in a sincere way, something that not everyone can say here.

After months of nothing, everything comes together, the presentation of the XM, the tests of 7, the M2, the 3.0 CSL, to stun us....

To stir the waters in the sweet wait...
Taking into account that the lightbar of the 7 series derives from what is shown in the visión "circular", I guess that there could be a specific variant of this in the XM?

The dashboard of the XM concept was unique but we know that it can be like the one of the X7 LCI perhaps adorned with those unique details of the XM concept and the "circular" cristals in some way

Ahmm I hope they will find some good designers until then to avoid just that.

BMW M

BMW M GmbH, formerly known as BMW Motorsport GmbH, is a subsidiary of BMW AG that manufactures high-performance luxury cars. BMW M ("M" for "motorsport") was initially created to facilitate BMW's racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicle portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterparts. All M models are tested and tuned at BMW's private facility at the Nürburgring racing circuit in Germany.
