5 Series [Rumors] Any word on details of 2020 5er LCI?

The BMW 5 Series is an executive car manufactured and marketed by BMW since 1972. The car is sold as either a sedan or, since 1991, a station wagon (marketed as "Touring"). A 5-door fastback (marketed as "Gran Turismo") was sold between 2009 and 2017. Each successive generation has been given an internal G-code designation since 2017. Previously, a F-code designation was used between 2010 and 2016, while an E-code designation was used between 1972 and 2010. These are used to distinguish each model and generation from each other.

So slightly changed frontlights, new front bumper, slightly changed grille (damn, they are removing the lovely wing shape) and new rearlights graphics.

Looks like they're taking the line up from the lower 'mouth, to meet the headlight kink, makes it a bit more like the 3-er..

On the subject of lights, this in the new L.A. Hyundai concept , could be the evolution of the DLR's signature, what is clear is that they will no longer be "signature" neither in BMW nor in any brand, is an element, which after invented (For identification, decorative reasons and at the same time the obligation by law to have the lights on during the day for safety), it was incorporated to the point that today it is like the windshield wipers (nobody remembers who invented them), they are copied so easily and change constantly, they lose their meaning as "signature" and will become more a very interesting and attractive decorative element.

Hyundai here is showing other possibilities that had not been explored, making the grill the medium, thanks to the infinite possibilities of LED optics, etc.
BMW may be working on something more subtle for the future, but inventing signatures is not easy. Perhaps that is why they introduced the new illuminated grills of the X6 and 5 series, so that they begin to be the hallmark from now on.

5 series too?

I agree btw. LEDs cost nothing, have a big effect and can be used everywhere because they're so tiny.

I am glad they will update the front lights and make them in line with the other latest BMW's. I saw a pre-FL 5-series yesterday and the front lights definitely look somehow dated, with the rounded DRL's. The rear lights is where the biggest change is needed, and it will be looking like a baby 7-series again, but without that huge grill.
